Heck, even her failing organs are hanging in there, and after every ER beeze followed by a huge spread of grease and sodium, she lands on her cockroach feet again. Fatter and balder, but still hurpling.

Even something as minor as a fine would send her in a tailspin. She doesn't deal with everyday life well. She has been skating by without consequence for far too long. I'm still skeptical that there will be major consequences from this, but there better be at least SOMETHING.

Let's say the Kuwaiti sand cops are after her. I think if she just went limp, it'd take a herculean effort to remove her from anywhere. I fully expect if authorities ever came for her, her endless defiance would cause her to lay on the ground and not move while whining/crying. This would completely thwart the efforts of the original team sent to snag her and buy her at least an hour or so.

Question--because it was brought up over 2 years ago--just how long has Chinstraps been out of Canada since her last time there? Does she even have the fAbUlOuS socialized healthcare anymore? Wouldn't she have a wait period to get it back?
And even then....Canada's healthcare sucks ass. Periods of years' to decades' wait for certain doctors/procedures.

Its not so much how long she's been gone since the last time she was there, its how long she's resided there over the past year. She cant touch base for a day and reset the counter.

With certain exceptions, to qualify for OHIP, you must meet all of the minimum qualifications listed below plus at least 1 of the additional requirements.

She has not been in Ontario for 153 days in the last 2 years, let alone 12 month period. Ontario is also not her primary residence. She would have to establish residency somewhere. Probably mom's where she still gets her mail. But Canada is dumb and they dont really track who's been out of the country as the health care and border entry systems are not linked. I'm sure people have/will report her via OHIP's very reporting procedures, but if Cutie can stay alive for a mere 153 days in Ontario she'll be fully eligible again.

Its such a problem for Ontario they have an entire page dedicated to reporting fraud including a dedicated government email address. A few years ago (maybe longer now) they were reporting that Ontario had some astronomically high number of OHIP cards in circulation than residents in the entire province, which should tell you how great they are at compliance enforcement.

She's just on a tourist visa in Kuwait, as far as any nation is concerned she's just a Canadian on vacation. What she's doing is illegal but so far down the list that no one would come looking for her until she does something stupid that draws attention from the authorities... like right now.

She still has her Canadian Healthcare, but no doctor. It'll be a long time before she can get help that isn't emergency service to keep her heart beating as the sugar dissolves her blood vessels.

My bet: She'll probably post a vlog statement tonight with a blank wall as a background (her Aunt or mother's wall).

It will be list of all the excuses she already used, "I didn't know", "spent all the money at the vet", "I only wanted to save a dying cat", "I'm not afraid". Then something about how unprofessional the charity is. Then reaction channels are all sick losers.

She might even test the waters with something like, "And WHO CARES if I was visiting Canada right now?! That doesn't prove anything! It would be a total coincidence! I can go where I want!"

Chantal's oppositional defiance is her defining characteristic after gluttony. Paws didn't back down, and Kuwait itself didn't bend its laws to her will. She always doubles down when someone tells her she fucked up, and they almost always leave her alone. But this time she actually had to flee across an ocean to get away.

Usually you'd be out of pocket for three months while you re-establish residency, but I think you might be able to get it reimbursed? (Could be wrong on that.)

And I'm pretty sure she's kept some form of proof of Smee's address for her residence. She was only on tourist visas, after all. Maybe her old car, maybe one of her credit cards or a burner phone. She just needs one bill at an address in Ontario to keep her residence. Lots of Canadians who travel extensively do this. And as others have said, unless her old OHIP card is several years expired, nobody is going to ask follow up questions.

Since she only ER beezes, it wouldn't be an issue. The ERs will see her, and if she ends up owing money, she'll just add it to the debt.

Nah. Things are worse since the pandemic, but it's never been the dystopian death panel that some Americans or Conservatives (who want American-style health care) would have you believe. She's not in some remote, under served part of Northern Ontario.

In any case, Chantal isn't compliant. Besides ER beezes, she won't go anywhere or do anything. She would use those talking points as an excuse not to comply, but in reality she won't even bother getting on the list.

The last time she was in Canada she didn't have a GP and was complaining the wait for a GP was three years. But she hadn't had a GP for longer than three years. She could've gotten herself on the wait list five years ago, but was too busy eating.
