From the vid, it seems like he's overly sympathetic to the plight of these people because he has/had a family member who uses/used to use the stuff compulsively. With that said, of all the scummy things pharma companies do (and of all the OTC drugs with potential for surprisingly dangerous/addictive outcomes) this seems quite minor—and I fail to see what they ought to do to alleviate the issue beyond making the label's warning text larger/more noticeable.This is one of the worst things he did, a full on "this is your brain on Reddit". Basically taking autistic spergs who use an over the counter medicine compulsively as "proof" it is addictive. No fucking shit you start damaging yourself at some point from this behavior. There's nothing surprising here, and taking a drug for more than a week rather than going to a doctor is absolutely retarded. Ditto trying to equate quitting the drug use with going cold turkey.
It's the same line of thought as needing to label video games for addiction.
