I don't believe he would try to hide his drugs in a seemingly legal container, the notes of the body cam footage thoroughly dash that notion, but said containers are also generally very convenient for his needs, being purpose built to store drugs.

He is 43, his wife is a known pill popper/reported bar-head. I have a RX for allergy pills, Montelukast sodium, i throw away an empty RX bottle of them every 3 months. He has pill bottles without stealing his mothers. There is no good reason to have your mothers RX bottle for the purpose of hiding drugs in your own house.
