Looking back on how a lot of us wound up leaving SA in the 00s I can safely say that we left because we were over it, done with being 20 something manchildren and started to take our lives seriously. With that came a lack of love for the kind of irreverence that a place like SA prided itself on. I'll always remember how funny Lowtax and the other writers were.

I joined SA in the mid 00s and stopped posting around 2012. The mods became god awful and would ban you for any little thing. Got fed up with the forum and haven’t really thought of that site until Lowtax committed Harry Carry. The world is better off without him.

Momtax tried, but she died of the cancer she was in treatment for (read: slowly dying from) for only a couple months after Lowtax doomhoused himself.

Her incredible vitrol and animosity to Lady Ambien and the Judge / Ms. Outlaw make a lot more sense in the context of Lowtax's note.
Thanks to his selfish actions instead of dying with her beloved son nearby, or even being able to focus on making the most of her approaching end and peace with her life, instead her final days werent spent in a fury of sadness and rage, attempting revenge against two people who only did their jobs. The fact Lowtax felt these two people were "out to get him" is only because of how worthless he was as a human being.

Dadtax I think is too old and lacks the mental faculties to take revenge even if he would be inclined to do so.

Was Lowtax really an "industry pioneer" or just make the right choice at the right time? He (and by extension, SA) peaked when he married his first wife in 2005 and after that it was straight down the tubes.

He definitely was. SA was pretty much the center of internet culture for a few years.
