I do find one thing weird though. Dad tax took Rich to see a psychiatrist that day and the doc turned him away for having blood pressure that was very high. Why wasn’t the next step to take Rich to the emergency room? If his blood pressure was that dangerously high?
I’m hoping that’s the advice the psych doc gave and they just didn’t take it, opting to just go home instead. But heading to the ER would have prevented Lowtax from killing himself, at least in this specific crisis.

He owed a lot of money to the Missouri tax collector because of a change to Missouri law that taxed subscriptions and digital goods which forum registrations were. He could have saved money by incorporating his business in anther state, but that would have taken more effort than zero.
