Humans are also typically the race we use as a vector to experience the story, we understand them easier because they're us, so even in high fantasy stories humans get features that were applicable to them in the middle ages. I.E. church, a caste system, farming, whatever.

Humans are also usually imperialistic because I can't think of a time in history when we weren't imperialistic towards each other.

Lily has this weird criteria for what counts as culture in fantasy, when complaining that humans were poorly written in WoW, she demanded her chat "name a holiday", and when no one could, because no one keeps track of fantasy holidays, it was proof of her hypothesis.

Right from the beginning they’re telling you there’s this civil war like conflict between the Nords and the Imperials, already the game would want you to start asking questions. The fact The Nords say their way of life is threaten should tell you they have a culture and they fear it going out. But if you read some in game stuff and play missions the war isn’t so clear and dry.

I assumed Dragon Age or maybe WoW because I can't think of any other fantasy game he's engaged with that has multiple races. I won't sperg out too much because it goes without saying that Lily is wrong if it's DA. All the human empires are very different. It was one of the many complaints about Veilguard is how disappointing Tevinter ended up being because it was always talked up as being this much darker place, but Veilguard removed all the interesting bits. Although even then, if you listen to some of the devs talk about the game or look at some of the artwork, you'll hear them talk about subtle differences between the clothing and the cities and stuff. But even outside of that, just compare Kirkwall to Orlais and they have vastly different cultures.

If anyone could point me to the direction of an archive of these two it would be very appreciated.
