The other issue was that by the 6th century, the Romans were maintaining order by completely disarming the local populace and keeping order with legions populated by foreigners. Consequently, when the army collapsed, there were no local militias and little loyalty to the Empire. And in at least a few areas, there were large populations of heretical Christians, particularly Nestorians, who were socially elevated by the conquering Arabs and were more than happy to not be hunted down and killed any more.
Are we talking Egypt 600AD or Europe 2020AD?

Whoah. I didn't expect this rat to flee like this.

Former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who worked for two Democratic presidents and had one of the most public-facing roles in the Biden administration, is urging Americans to “embrace life as independents.”

Jean-Pierre shares her message with readers in a forthcoming book, “Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines,” poised to be released in October by Hachette Book Group’s Legacy Lit imprint.

One of the things Dems just refuse to get about Trump is that, for all they scream that "he's flagrantly breaking the law!" "He's a dictator!" he actually does try to work within the law

Trump doesn't just get up in the morning and shout "I'M GONNA DO SOMETHING CRAZY TODAY JUST BECAUSE I'M CRAZY!!!! WICKYDODO!" He actually has lawyers find laws to cite for things he wants to do and then apply them correctly.

Dems bleat about the alien enemies act, but Trump didn't just say "NO ILLEGALS GET TRIALS!" He limited it to a specific organization, Tren De Agua, from a specific country, Venezuela, and his team already had their marching orders for legal arguments they could easily predict. "A 200 year old law? So's the Constitution!" "What country are we at war with? the order specifically outlines that the organization is Tren De Agua, which is a destabilizing influence, and outlines its ties to the Venezuelan government."

Same with arresting judges. Dems scream this is the work of a dictator etc. but he isn't throwing Boasberg in chains for ruling against him, they're only arresting judges blatantly breaking the law, like purposely letting an illegal run away from ICE or harboring an illegal gang member with warrants against him in your basement!
It's the same energy as "oh you own guns? So what well regulated militia do you belong to?"

They have to believe that there's a rule based order to everything that they understand and republicans don't. Conservatives generally have gumption, work ethic, motivation, and just downright balls. Conviction. Leftists have to have smarts because if they don't what do they have? I see this a lot in nerd culture, they see the jock getting cheered for and say "did you know that the reason humans can run fast is because we would chase deer until the tired out and that's why-".

In addition to that lefties have an unwillingness to admit that a lot of the world is and always has been scrappy and chaotic. This really bothered me in my lefty days so i know where they're coming from, but fact is there is no such thing as "conventional". Obamacare wasn't conventional, giving BLM the podium wasn't conventional, getting involved in kenya wasn't conventional and mouth fucking a girl in the oval office wasn't conventional.

It shows up all throughout their worldview
-We shouldn't have cops but we should have laws and people will have to do what those laws say because it's the law.
-This trans woman got good grades which means she should get the CEO position because the rules say good grades give you success, it's how things work!
-We're going to make guns illegal so that criminals will have to turn them in because we had a vote and decided it should be that way. Now they will do it.
-Look the international community made it against the law to do what israel is doing! That means that... ummm... so what happens to them now? What do you mean we can't enforce it and everyone will still trade with them!? The UNITED NATIONS condemned them! That's the ultimate authority! What do you mean the UN can't actually do anything?

Autistic reference but I've awlays remembered this capeshit scene where the guy says "we have to take this seriously that's the United nations we're talking about!" as if that means shit. And he says it to captain america after calling him arrogant no less, kek.

None of this is to say I think trump deserves a blank check to do whatever the hell he wants, but the left needs to be a bit more strategic about their pearl clutching so that when the time comes that he REALLY needs to be kept in check, the villagers believe there's a wolf so to speak.

Show of hands: Who here supports Elon over Trump, or Trump over Elon?

I'm guessing most will pick the bright orange lightbulb, but I'm just curious.
Trump just because he has a keen understanding of politics, media, and marketing. What Trump needs is people who have a keen understanding of government, bureaucracy, and legal matters around him. That's not Elon. Elon is a sperg who is intensely offputting to most non-sperg people. He's a drug addict and deadbeat dad. He loves jeets, the ultimate symbol of bad character and low IQ. He's a military contractor who wanted to buy his way into power. Overall not a fan.

California is losing federal funds for its high speed rail project:
lol that's the most amazing dumpster fire of a public works project ever to grift the American public. How many tens of billions of dollars has California thrown in the fire and not a single fucking mile of track has been laid and not a single fucking locomotive or other piece of rolling stock has rolled an inch on high-speed track in California?

Unlimited lulz and keks spew forth from my belly.

I have a lot of respect for Elon but that respect has always started and ended with SpaceX. Now I can add DOGE to that as well but I honestly would rather Elon just stick with SpaceX and take care of business with that, it's his calling and what he's here to do. I was really worried about Elon getting distracted by politics when he should be focused on getting us back on the moon and to Mars.

People did on the ground interviews with the local DMVs because the Haitians were getting into so many accidents with stationary objects.
Traffic laws are the ultimate casual filter for illegal immigrants. There are so many laws on the books that a cop can pull you over for almost any reason and the vast amount of illegals don't know how to drive. Hell a lot of the news stories of people getting deported involves them driving and doing something that gets law enforcement's attention like speeding, trying to enter a restricted area or running a red light. So even if ICE wasn't actively hunting these people down, traffic enforcement will stumble across them on a regular basis and once the cop asks for identification the jig is up. Now that I mention it, didn't a lot of liberal states dial back their traffic enforcement policies to the point they are borderline not enforced? I wonder if any immigration lobbies had a part in that?

The modern Arab is really degraded here.
Yeah, they are a conquered people. The Umayyad were overthrown by the Abbasids, a Persian-backed Arab coup, who were eventually destroyed by the Mongols, who converted to Islam and ruled the region for a while. Meanwhile, in the west the last remnants of the Umayyad fled to Iberia and established a kingdom-in-exile when overthrown. The western part of the former Caliphate fractured, but largely fell under Shia Arab rule. Then a Kurdish dynasty ruled, then a slave revolt of largely white slaves ruled and fended off the Mongols. Then the whole Middle East was conquered by Turks.

Arabs at the point of the partition of the Middle East had ethnically been a conquered people for centuries even as their religion marched to the farthest ends of the earth, subject to foreign rule. Their big dream was to rebuild their civilization back to its glory days, that's why they allied with the British to revolt against the ailing Ottoman Empire, and that's what Ba'athism and the Hashemite princes were both trying to accomplish.

Instead the Middle East was divvyed up into an international chessboard, one of the hearts of the former Arab empire was taken over by a bunch of Eastern European Jews, and when the Hashemites took issue with that the British basically forced them out of Arabia by funding a bunch of lunatics in the deep desert (the House of Saud). Funded by their vast oil wealth, the Islam of the Islamic State and Al Qaeda (Salafism/Wahhabism), which had previously been restricted to the backwater of Najd, spread throughout the entire Middle East through their patronage. The result has been endless barbarism, bloodshed, and civilizational backsliding. But that's geopolitics. It's happened to countless formerly great empires, cultures, and peoples. Strong powers divide the weak and set them against one another, forming buffers to protect their regional interests.

Deeds impress more than words. They've earned their turn at the gallows, make no mistake.
Good, now that we have that settled, let's discuss the Trump admin covering up the Epstein shit by not releasing the files unredacted, and recently, Dan Bongino and Patel coming out saying Epstein killed himself, shall we?

I somehow think the niggercattle here might start finding nuance in their hearts, suddenly.

@Catch The Rainbow

how exactly did she plan to pay for med school as an illegal?
Wouldn't really be a problem since even the roughly 15% of medical school's that do consider illegals only consider people with DACA and that hasn't been being granted in recent years due to legal challenges, she might have even been too old when she arrived to be eligible for it. Even in the most liberal medical schools, she would never have been admitted.

What I wish is that hospitals would find a way to deal with all the illegals and crazies clogging up emergency rooms. It would be one thing if they were going to the hospital because they broke their legs, or were having a heart attack, or had a cellulitis infection that needed immediate attention. The problem is they go to the hospital because their kid has a little cough or, in the case of the crazy person, they are just fucking crazy. They can't get regular GPs so they go to the hospital, give fake names, get treatment, and leave. They don't even have the decency to go to urgent care or something.

It's weird af, is it not? You just tell people things are happening and they believe it whole-cloth without looking further or thinking about it more.

MASS DEPORTATIONS. MASSIVE DOGE SAVINGS. MASSIVE TARRIFS ACTIVATED. EPSTEIN FILES RELEASED. USA AI TECH CENTERS OF THE FUTURE. WOKESTERS MASSIVELY BTFO.

None of this is happening. Legit none of it. All bait and switch BS.

Trump has found out that even pretending to do something results in an absolutely ballistic response from the opposition, which convinces his base that it's actually being done. It's annoying. He deports one gay dude making gang signs and CNN acts like there's a train of packed cattlecars rattling over the Rio Grande. It's an interesting way to paralyze his administration by feeding into his vanity.
