Let me use Star Wars as an example. I like that franchise, I watched most of the films, played a few games, watch a little bit of the TV show, but didn't watch most of the sequel trilogy, because they were critically panned. Am I hypocrite for saying that I like Star Wars yet don't like ALL the franchise has to offer? Am I a hypocrite for wanting to ignore all the shitty shows, movies and spinoffs that I was never interested in watching in the first place? No, of course not. I'm not secretly sitting in my room, writing Rey x Kylo fanart, just because I enjoyed the original trilogy. And besides, I don't have enough time to watch ALL star wars media ever made. If there is some obscure comic where there is a panty shot of underage Shaak Ti, am I suddenly a pedo and a hypocrite, even though I never picked up a single Star Wars comic in my life?
