I used to think the same. But then it was poised to me like if I could snap my fingers and remove any singular group from furry groups/spaces
They would be way down the line. Which isn't to defend them, more highlight just how bad the other groups of people are, like troons!
Some [redacted furry event(s)] that I know some people involved with allow them as one of the only "kink" items permitted. Which I still think is gay, but it was done as a compromise in getting rid of pretty much all the other fetish gear

I have enough hate to go around. If I had thr button diaper fags would be gone and by extention half of all pupplay fags as well.

On the bright side, if you remove troons you're probably removing a good 80% of diaperfurs, ABDL and general nuisances from the furry population these days. Maybe that's why they don't like pupfags: they're fags, not troons.

If I remember correctly, everything but the OG one is someones intellectual property that is not free to use. All those differnt flags in not unlike them adoptables. But if yours gets popular you got to spook actual legal entities to pay you for using it.

I am not a lawyer, but that specific CC license seems to allow E621 to use that "progress" version of the Pride flag in their logo, so long as they follow specific conditions.

The relevant conditions for this context being that any derivative work made of it must also be licensed under this same license, attribution must be given to the retarded creator of the original licensed work, and both the original "progress flag" and any logo variation E621 creates cannot be used for "commercial purposes." If E621 using it in their logo passes that final condition, which I think it very well could, then they should be allowed to use it without proactive consent of the original license holder (as the CC license is essentially meant to relieve others of seeking proactive consent).
So, it's only "not free to use" here in the colloquial sense that they can't "freely" use it however they would like, but no money would need to exchange hands for permission (unless they sought to use it outside the scope of the terms in the CC license).
Either they felt that using it in their logo could constitute "commercial purposes" and invalidate the license, or they willfully chose not to use that version of the flag.

Its hilarious seeing people realizing that these companies never ever gave a shit about pride and it was pandering for money or social points. Corporations are not and never will be your friend. You're a dollar bill first and human second. So to literally see

Its more than likely that those shirts and such were ordered over a year ago and have been sat in a warehouse for 6-12 months waiting for June to arrive. 12 months is a long time in politics, and its unlikely Target thought there could be an anti-DEI backlash in 2025. So its more than likely they just put the stock out anyway and hope at least some of it sells, as the only other alternative is to throw it in the bin. Its like producing jerseys for an ice hockey team only for them to go bankrupt or rebrand before you can put them on sale.
From what i've seen its the same sort of situation everywhere - shops have their Pride-themed stock on sale, but barely any attention or promotion is given to it.

Trends tend to lag behind a year due to production and design. It's why when something becomes popular a year later it feels like there are a million clones. It's most likely 2024 was just companies dumping stock they have had since 2022/2023 where things where not selling as well as they thought. Most gays are cynical about Corporation pandering to them especially ones that are trying to sell you shit.
