yume nikki is about a little girl shut in that 41%s herself, it never stood a chance. Being niche actually makes its more likely troons will latch onto stuff because troons are male nerds who have terminally online interests.
The PS1 port even has a different soundtrack that emphasizes this more than the original soundtrack. Makes the game feel more like a horror game.

Im going to refute you on that sadly. Clarify, this is The AMC Squad. Its a Build Engine indie game thats been worked on since at least 2015, as of maybe a year or so ago they added this abomination into the game's hubworlds.
