Nice, super loose definition and painting in very broad strokes. I believe the holocoaster happened but using this as a definition discredits what being a "Holocaust survivor" is. This reads like the watered down racial ideology/movements of today; cover a subject broadly so you can pivot and change the 'true meaning' whenever you want to include or exclude as you decide.
Under theses rules a fuck load of Italians are also Holocaust survivors, but fuck if I've ever seen a Mario, Luigi or Tony ever be called one or receive any benefits. How about the French who had to flee? Do you think that the displaced, non-jewish: Italians, British, poles, gypos, and all the rest that fled their homes due to to "ethnic, social, and political policies of the Nazis and their collaborators between 1933 and 1945." The Italians had their shit being stolen by German soldiers. For the French or poles it was flee or be occupied and fight. Some Brits didn't like being bombed all day and bailed.
Under the definition you provided, from that museum, do you acknowledge that these non-jewish people are also Holocaust survivors and should receive the same level of respect and support?
