Yes, Trump can do that. But then you can kiss American space dominance and watch others excel. Elon can just shut shop on SpaceX and go elsewhere - it would be costly but he would have the business and the USA wouldn't and that isn't good. Yes, Trump can do all these things for the sake of spite, but Americans don't win for it and frankly, Elon is just too damn fucking rich to give a fuck.

Elon has power in this as does Trump, but the consequences of a real war between the two could see the tide turned against the USA in Space; media and other things from which it would never come back from. If you want china to win the inevitable EV global market, just shut down the EV market in the USA and watch it wonder in 20 years why some other global power literally has the entire worlds market and we do not.

lol SpaceX is so deeply embedded into the MIC that the second he tries anything it's going to be nationalized, restructured, and then turned into a joint-venture between Lockheed, Boeing, and Raytheon
