Ah, the HTTP referer header. Literally the oldest trick in the book used by manchildren. It has no effect because you can circumvent it by copying and pasting the link and that gets rid of the referer header.

People can also use sites like https://dereferer.me/ (https://dereferer.me/?https://tcrf.net/The_Cutting_Room_Floor)

But the easier way is probably just to intentionally break the URL when linking - IE hxxps://tcrf.net/The_Cutting_Room_Floor - that way people have to copy and paste/edit and the referrer doesn't get passed.

My advice for anyone documenting this community (including people who are still active in it) is to not use your regular IP when clicking on links to TCRF and Jul from this thread, even if you access the links in a new tab/browser without a Referrer. If you are going to post some information, use a screenshot and an archive link whenever possible (TCRF tends to block scrapers, however).

Clearly, the mental illness and paranoia has spread so deep that, simply looking up the actions of TCRF's own moderators is grounds for a permaban now and in the future, even if you have no account yet. Keep in mind that there was no raid, and the people being hit with bans were genuinely curious for themselves, rather than just taking a KF post at face value.
