The funny thing is that both can work in a given comic that fits the tone of the characters. She could be observing pastel gothic artist draw more subdue, gloomy gothic scenes for their characters and black people fitting the world and theming of that comic. The same for the anime pixie who looks like she could be on some girly Saturday morning cartoon like Winx or Trollz. There's a time and place for both, and black artist also draw both types themselves. In an ideal world, we have black characters that cover the span of all these since there's people like th elf eared girl and people like the dull colored girl (astutely pointed out to be closer to IRL Autumn). She's artifically dividing the community around her again to prop herself up as morally and artistically superior since she is a plain, underwhelming artist asshole otherwise.
