I made the thread 'cause I think he's hilarious, not because I hate him. We can tell when he's joking, we can also easily tell when he's trying to play off his rage/butthurt over video games or successful authors.

His downfall as a content creator is the Nintendo obsession. Everything revolves around that. Ordinarily, he'd be an entertaining gaming autist who says the things everyone else's scared of saying, but he's decided to pledge his allegeance to a company that historically caters to young children. All of his conviction, all of his principles and beliefs cease to exist when Nintendo's brought up, and that's confoundingly funny.

And sure, I watch his videos. Skimming through 6-11 hour long streams that are mostly dead air isn't really in the cards for me as a parent.

The MovieBob comparison is apt because he's always going on about politics, thinks himself an intellectual, yet is hyper-fixated on "unimportant" stuff like video games and TV. His political opinions are formulated by 4chan and are only relevant in the context of the media he consumes. Otherwise, he doesn't care about them. His political opinions (usually) go out the window when he has to defend Nintendo though. Somehow, he's convinced himself that Nintendo is one of the last bastions of right-wing gaming.

Except for the fact that Cody doesn't really go into details or show evidence, and goes into consensus-centered rants and relies on people taking his word for the truth, he would indeed be a somewhat respectable commentator after dropping the Nintendo obsession. Note how Onto Mongo doesn't even bother to contribute to the thread in his own way, and doesn't even share any examples of Cody being right about Fromsoft, Valve, or the Steam Deck. Granted, we can probably boil down Cody's talking points to "The Steam Deck only exists to emulate Nintendo games", "Valve is bad because...?", and some personal beef with Souls games (Small reminder that he can be seen visibly enjoying Elden Ring, and on Discord was genuinely interested in Armored Core 6 after seeing its trailer), I'm also pretty certain that everything Onto Mongo is comlaining about already got discussed too, though his stream are mostly dead air.

I saw this, and one guy mentioned how Nintendo has been going woke with things, so this was of course replied to by someone else, saying it wasn't Nintendo but the Seattle localizers instead. I haven't seen the full video yet, but some people have already highlighted some moments, both in the comments and elsewhere (My skimming included a part in which Cody states that "content creators" should not be allowed on Youtube (In other words, taking the "You" out of Youtube entirely), and that Nintendo should take action against any and all fan content, including fan games). Went to look at a few of Cody's old streams since I was bored, only to find him playing pirated Nintendo games on his emulator. ARREST HIM!!!

I like the casual admission that he thinks everyone who has ever pirated a Nintendo game should go to prison. I look forward to seeing him turn himself in.
Also, hi Cody! I know you'll read this at some point, so I'd just like to say please do more live reaction videos. You're at your most entertaining when you're screaming at people who don't know you exist.

I think I hurt Harman's feelings recently, he put up a video claiming that Cyberpunk was outsold by Fantasy Life on switch 2, in his og video he showed no evidence, and after I went on my switch 2, I noticed that CyberPunk was ahead of Fantasy Life. As I woke up this morning, this has changed. And Harman posted a follow up actually showing the eshop.
Okay cool Harman, but what does it matter? First things first CyberPunk has been ahead of Fantasy Life for nearly a month at this point, two Cyberpunk actually has a physical Switch 2 release, so how can you say Fantasy Life has outsold it? Especially as the international Physical version of the Switch 1 FL was canned. Though I can still find a way to get it, for cheaper then the game on the Nintendo store.
Thirdly how do we know that the sales are not just people buying the Upgrade pack, If I can get a physical copy of FL for switch 1 for say 35 pounds, when the game is 50 digitally. Then I buy the £2.03 pack, does the upgrade pack add to sales? I imagine so, as to be honest, I feel the reason both the TOTK and BOTW "Switch 2 Editions" were selling well was because people like me, got it for no extra cost. But since it was downloaded, it counts towards the numbers.
It is funny that he got so upset that he had to do a follow up video, crying over the fact I called him out, and wants so hard for people to say how terrible Cyberpunk is, that it falling one space after nearly 4 months, only to be beaten out by another 3rd party game, which is on multiple systems. Just so he can feel justifed in his hate towards CD Projeckt Red, and Cyberpunk.

I think he fails to also understand how charts work, after all is it for overal sales for the whole time the Switch 2 has been out, a week, a month? Who knows as Nintendo usually doesn't say anything, but usually it is a weekly thing. So wow Cyberpunk has lost a place from 2nd to 3rd, whilst Fantasy Life was in the low part of the top ten and has finally shot up. Sure it has nothing to do with people being starved of something new to play. Or that Cyberpunk has people buying it physically, or that anyone who wanted Cyberpunk has properly bought it by now. Besides Fantasy Life is practically brand new and Cyberpunk is a 5 year old game at this point. So the fact it took Fantasy Life this long to overtake it, in one chart is just funny.
