Watched part 1 of Billy's expose on Karl and it definitely reminds me of old internet. He was very professional on his videos and did a good job of visibly controlling his emotions(up til he mentions Karl going after his family).

Kinda miss this format of videos. It's clear, concise, focuses on clear reasons "if they could prove I cheated, they wouldn't of settled". Like ignoring any perceptions of the man. He does a solid job presenting himself and his points. I can fully understand why he's done well in life. I get the man's perspective to some degree.

If some dude I've never interacted with out of nowhere wanted to ruin me, my kids and my business for allegations of a fucking VIDEO GAME(most inconsequential bs known to man) I'd do no different and ruin that person in turn

Outside of the autistic debate over joystick colours and MAME load-up patterns or whatever, it seems to be that Billy has consistently been shown to be generally a truthful, non-deceptive person.

Billy being accused of lying again over his height, and then Billy's claims appearing to be truthful (at least roughly, and rounding up an inch on height is hardly the crime of the century), is just another example.

In contrast, Karl and his band of troons have been shown to be consistently deceptive.

At this point I don't get why some kiwis still have to add the qualifier that Billy is clearly slimy or a shady guy. Outside of hispro-wrestling- style work on stuff like King ofKong, I just don't see it. If anything, he keeps being shown to be a pretty honest guy, within the bounds of general standards where everyone tells the odd white lie.

Even the idea of him rounding it up an inch or including his hair or whatever hasn't been proven, it's just a possibility and only an autistic retard would give a shit about while hilariously been called out about his own height(or rather lack of). There are hundreds of photos of him online from the past couple of decades, and he's consistently the tallest person in every one of them. There's a picture of him from some pacman event on stage with a bunch of Japanese women, who barely come up to his shoulders while they're all wearing giant heels. Even the man in the picture comes up to his chin(I'd post it but attachments are being a pain in the ass right now). He's half a head, to a full head taller than basically every arcade cabinet he's standing next to(of which there are tons of images), but Karl wants to pretend that he just constantly has a milk crate around at all times to stand on or some shit. He also doesn't seem to have been photographed in weird boots like a short Hollywood celeb(like Robert Downey Jr, if you haven't seen his boots look 'em up and you'll see what I mean, they're super obvious).

Billy is just very good at playing the heel. Based on his twitter and hot sauce shenanigans he even seems to enjoy it. Everyone needs a good heel, and Billy is pleasant enough that he still obviously gets invited to things and in the real world isn't a social pariah (even at gaming cons), the issue is people like Karl took the game too far.

I would agree if he wasn't still friendly with Walter Day and Todd Rogers. Also let's not forget that Billy has sued like 10 people over various shit, and lost every time except once. I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and assume that nothing he sued over was anywhere near as damning as karl's allegations, and it seems like the judges agreed. But at the end of the day you don't want to be litigious if you can help it. I have sympathy for the karl case because it really did seem to be an egregious claim fueled by malice.

My current recipe for the Dragon Sauce I have left (which is rapidly diminishing).

Wings. Pat them entirely dry with paper towels or your drying agent of choice.

Coating. Baking powder (NOT soda), smoked paprika, some powdered chili peppers (I am using slightly under 1/8 of a teaspoon of pure scorpion pepper powder). Toss in a bag or just roll around on a plate.

Air fryer. Preheat to 400. Spray with beef tallow spray (for the first time with an air fryer I found tallow actually gives a very similar flavor to deep frying but with very very little actual fat). Fry at 400 for ten minutes, flip over and do another 10. Or 12. Or 8. Or whatever you like.

Enjoy. I just douse these in the Dragon Sauce and also dip in blue cheese sauce (I have been using Roquefort Société as the base cheese for this). I first eat half the wing with just the sauce, then dip.

Billy’s brand of slimy is open and honest, you realize he’s a grifter from the second you lay eyes on him. He’s not a good guy, but he doesn’t try to present himself as one.
