TGWTG Nostalgia Chick / Lindsay Ellis / TheDudette - aka Hotdogs in face girl

No, it was more of a "The Quartering" ripoff, dressed up as a Jenny Nicholson-style Disney video. Like, it practically plagiarized word for word an old Quartering video criticizing Disney for removing Splash Mountain (which was Jeremy's favorite Disney ride, so he had a lot to say...)

Sorry, I got a little spergy about Hambly & Splash Mountain at your mention of his old video.

I did a post in his thread about it based entirely on watching his old video & Wikipedia research.

Here's the video from June 16th, 2020 that you mentioned that Lindsay was mimicking where Hambly complains about Disney rebranding Splash Mountain due to woke petitions from Song of the South (1946) Black themes to more contemporary The Princess and the Frog (2009) girlboss slop DEI ones.

Hambly in the video talks about having last ridden Splash Mountain "10 years ago", which was 2010 or before. He mentions he was a little weirded out by all the Song of the South imagery back then. He said he agrees somewhat with the need for a change to the ride, because it's "cringy & dated" and he never really connected with it. But just not for soc jus reasons. Jeremy had never seen the OG Song of the South / Br'er Rabbit and never heard of The Princess & the Frog (2009).

I wasn't aware of any of this, and aren't trying to do an "UM, ACKSTUALLY", as it was 5 years ago.

But after watching Hambly's 2020 vid, he wasn't actually that fond of it and hadn't been in a decade.

He thought it was dated and needed change, felt uncomfortable with the 1946 stuff, but just didn't like the soc jus angle.

Thanks for the write up & finding the old video I was thinking of! I might have mixed up some details of the Quartering video with a Geeks and Gamers video on Splash Mountain's redesign; however Lindsay definitely lifted from Hambly's Splash Mountain video/had the exact same take/mentioned the same details.

In other news:

*Lindsay's Iranian supremacist best buddy Kaveh (ex boyfriend? Or did she only date Mr. Bag on his Head? Or is Kaveh gay? He seems kinda gay) recently made a post on Bluesky condemning all those filthy Republican politicians & even worse - Democrats who *checks notes* condemned the Anti-Jewish terrorist attack in Colorado...?

Police and ICE thanked at the very end of the letter, for arresting criminal illegals. Majority of the letter was CONDEMNING LITERAL TERRORISM.

*I realize by this point you guys all roll your eyes whenever I point out a Lindsay-adjacent potential antisemitisms, so I try my best to not bring it up anymore (especially since I found that musical podcast episode where Lindsay says "lolcaust" while admitting to personal doubts about the Treblinka death count. I mean, by this point her Neo Nazi-ism is a pretty open and shut case. Not much up for debate.) However, I thought this particular instance was funny/worthy of mention, 'cause Lindsay's book series ending on a "day of the rope" note, and her friend whom she based a main character on is pissed politicians have the audacity to condemn Muslims slaughtering Jews in the street or setting them on fire or whatever.

Kaveh is married, to a woman even. Still pretty gay. Lindsay was at the wedding.

Man, how rough is your sex life that you fantasize about a balding Persian without a drop of masculinity in him?

I mean, when you go home to the human personification of a cuck chair, maybe it's an improvement?

It's how insecure guys dodge not being very attractive. They take a deliberately bad photo, the more exaggerated the better because they are desperate to make it apparent that it's not that they're unphotogenic it's that they definitely weren't trying to be.
What the fuck is it with Faggot Millennials and that mouth wide open bullshit

Mara Wilson has implied her falling out with Lindsey had to do with her having a sour reaction to Mara's bisexuality, but these days I'm more inclined to believe that it's because of her nazism, which I'm sure she doesn't hide as well behind closed doors.
Lil' miss Klanpa definitely isn't hiding her Kentucky backwoods views very well, if Tumblr Lindsay gossip is to be believed (& I think a lot of it holds some weight, since one of the tea spillers was formerly Breadtube adjacent/a freelance editor who I think worked for Ludwig and a few other notable Breadtubers), According to a Tumblr font, Lindsay wasn't very fond of black folks/thought BLM was a grift & refused to do content on it when that became envogue circa 2015/frequently dropped slurs like the n-word (very hard r) and mooncricket (???) to black folks and made sure to go out of her way to exclude black people from her social circle (note: the editor making these accusations was black). Lindsay apparently also once got called into HR on an industry job, after calling a black coworker a "house nigger" either for being a black conservative, or a black libertarian. Lindsay thinks blacks better stay on that Democrat plantation, dammit! 🙄

Weirdly, I suspect Lindsay's virulent antisemitism/Holocaust denial has more to do with whatever mental illness 'caused her to go off the deep end/end up involuntarily institutionalized circa 2018. It started popping up on her Twitter/podcasts/etc. after she went nuts. Like, it seems so disorganized/paranoid schizo. Like, she thinks Nazi Germany was secretly controlled by Jews, who she thinks were the real Nazis? That's lunatic sh!t, not average skinhead views.

Is it Nazism or just Lindsay trying and failing to be edgy?

I thought the way the series ended was because Cora had a “whole thing is fucked, burn it down” episode of nihilism where she was the only enlightened one. Also, the whole condemnation is just continuing to oppose everything MAGA, along with some solidarity with Palestine for good measure, maybe.

And again, the only reason Lindsay gets talked about in the light of something like Neo Nazis is because she seems to always overestimate that which she tries to do and present what she does at a level that’s higher than what she can achieve, be it writing or edgy humor.

Was there anything to this besides the words of a Tumblr user? Everything about this screams “enlightened left wing intellectual” that thinks their opinion is straight from divine sources, in the vein of someone like Hasan Piker.

I mean, maybe. But also I think she's just mildly skitzo. Prolly why Lindsay seemed to have lost a substantial amount of weight while having kids (if Ozempic isn't playing a role) - women can't take psych pills while pregnant or breastfeeding.

I mean, she once got pregnant just so she could film a documentary about having an abortion - I think we can all agree, that's a person with a few screws extremely loose.

I don’t think that was ever proven. At most, it was a documentary about abortion from the POV of somebody who had an abortion.
While she says that was the intention, I have to wonder if the theory she got pregnant on purpose to have an abortion has some weight. As she and Elisa talk about in the video pitching the documentary, they saw it as like getting a tumor removed. So Lindsay probably went into it thinking it'd be nothing, then had a pill abortion she later on twitter described as being traumatic, and discovered that evolution ensured pregnant women have feelings for their unborn child to give them a heavier protective instinct for their young and that the liberals lied to her about it being easy.

She later said that she was planning on carrying the baby to term and then would give it to a couple she knew, but they bowed out. Apparently she tried to find a home for it, but there are plenty of childless couples looking to adopt who would have been happy to take it, and plenty of agencies who would have set her up with someone she would want her baby to go with. She got the abortion so she could continue with a college class she later abandoned, and so she could have a career in Hollywood she also quit.

Maybe it was an accident, and she really did try to find a home. But given what we know about her, and how callous she can be about other people, seeing them as tools to be discarded when they stop being valuable... It wouldn't surprise me if she admitted she did it intentionally.

I think it's also important to remember that starting in the late 00's in some online feminist circles abortion went from being seen as a necessary tragedy or at least a suboptimal outcome to a positive exercising of one's bodily autonomy. It was a way of sticking it to the Bush administration and Evangelical conservatives so Lindsey no doubt felt that she was actually performing an empowering political act beforehand. The problem is that political theory is pretty cold comfort when the actual material reality of what abortion is happens and she changed her view (not that she would ever admit to having being in the wrong in the first place) when it went from being an abstract political point to a real flesh and blood one.

Some of it was discussed on Twitter as well, and I believe Reddit.

A few of the Lindsay accusers (the Ludwig editor person, a former CA writer - the one who said Lindsay called her a liar when a male CA guy diddled her?, and the Native American activist) came forward with their real identities. What they said was never disproven/Lindsay never tackled it in her "mask off" video. The Oji-Cree writer/activist Lindsay allegedly plagiarized is relatively prominent in the Native Community, and has had articles featured in mainstream magazines like Vogue, so I doubt she'd risk her reputation by talking smack about Lindsay, if what she said about her wasn't true.

Everything about this screams “enlightened left wing intellectual” that thinks their opinion is straight from divine sources, in the vein of someone like Hasan Piker.

I'm not sure what you mean by this? Do you mean the Ludwig editor who claimed Lindsay was racist? They never provided any evidence of their claims, and considering Ludwig's friendship with Hasan, I guess it's possible it was the results of some behind the scenes Breadtube bullsh!t. As the 'farms here documents, Breadtube is mostly run by folks with the mentality of 7th graders, so I mean - I generally take everything they say with a grain of salt.

TLDR, maybe Lindsay is a sweet kind person, isn't racist, and doesn't hate Jews. But I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

How callous 😢. If that's how they viewed abortion, I feel like that'd add weight to the "got pregnant on purpose" aspect. Maybe she felt guilt after, and made up that whole "was gonna give it to a family" story to cope.

She looks like a wax statue or cadaver.
Between caking on Make-Up for years more than likely dried out her skin and the booze she probably has tons of wrinkles and has to now cake on the Make-Up and other products to hide that fact she looks like a dried-up leathery prune under it all.

Edit: I said in another thread once and stand by it if you're a girl who caked on the make-up in your teens and twenties, you'll have to cake it on in your thirties and beyond thanks to the fact you dried it out and have tons of wrinkles which make you look older than you are. Also, drugs and booze aren't good for the skin either.

I'm so confused is she a Nazi or not? Is there any evidence because insisting every page Lindsay is a future SS leader is pretty autistic.
I mean, I guess it depends on your personal definition of a Nazi?

Like, she's a self-professed "Holocaust truther" not sold on the 6 million death count/thinks maybe Nazi Germany was actually controlled secretly by Jews the entire time (who than immediately went on to found Israel & fake the Holocaust after WW2 concluded). Also, she has a rather blood libel-y understanding of Passover (i.e. thinks it celebrates Moses slaughtering goy infants).

But all those views can just as easily be explained by Lindsay being really fucking retarded (or schizo) & believing every 4chan-level conspiracy theory she comes across.

TLDR, Lindsay probably doesn't like Jews. But IDK if she's like, some Neo Nazi-flag flying skinhead fighting for the white race, really fucking stupid, or just mentally ill. Possibly it's a combination of all 3.

Somewhat related, I do think it's ironic we're debating if the wife of a rocket scientist is a Nazi. Like, in the 1950's, the answer would be a resounding "Yes".

I don't think she's a Nazi or anything like that. I'd say Lindsay is someone who carries herself as being smarter than she really is, like Hasan Piker. And any allusions to antisemitism or racism or anything like that are just a case of her not knowing how she comes across, most likely because she assumes anybody who comes across her content "gets" her and her intentions, be it her (edgy) humor or her writing, or her videos. Like the Rick & Morty copypasta applied to comments made about a podcast talking about a musical set in the Weimar Republic, and in the Axiom's End books.
I'm not sure what you mean by this? Do you mean the Ludwig editor who claimed Lindsay was racist?

What I mean by this is that everything about Lindsay's acts of racism and bigotry seems like typical left-wing social posts that get brought up in a cancel campaign. Or posted here to laugh at. Just a bunch of stuff that affects somebody in a way where it can be described as "first world problems," and the worst attack is probably on the ego.
