I'm really disappointed in Massie, I thought he had actual solutions but it's just been smoke and mirrors amid all the complaining. The only thing he put forth was to blank slate the bill and then pack it with stuff that the uniparty wouldn't even consider negotiating, so like you said, nothing gets done. And using Grok to define his views on the BBB? He couldn't task an intern with writing an informative response if he can't do it himself? Makes me wonder if he's even read it.

All of the RINOs get kickbacks and bribes and various other bits of low level corruption. There's no way Massie doesn't get payola, and a shitload of it, to take his "I'm a principled republican we have to lose with dignity if possible but we HAVE TO LOSE" stances. Slime creatures like him don't file taxes on all of it, just most of it, cause some of it is off the record.

I resent that. Desi niggas nowadays don't bother assimilating because they have schmuck family overseas who did the hard work of assimilating for them. One of my American friends is the child of Bengali immigrants and he has told me similar things. There seems to be a lot of resentment between 2nd generation immigrants who are the children of parents who made a big effort to assimilate them into the culture vs first generation* immigrants who came on over for a free ride and just don't give a fuck. I have read that this dynamic has existed in America for centuries. Irish immigrants who came the country before the potato famine despised the post famine wave of immigrants for pretty much the same reasons you described.

Edit: The difference here, I suppose is that back then the culture at large agreed with the old Irish and it was not politically incorrect to demand that the new Irish get with the program.

This isn't directly related to the LA riots but it is about immigration so it's on topic. Has anyone else noticed that assimilation or at least attempting to assimilate just isn't a thing anymore? When I was a kid 20+ years ago immigrants would at the very least try to learn English. That's not a thing anymore. Mexicans, Indians, Somali's all speak their own languages, stay in their ethnic enclave sand there is zero attempt whatsoever to become American. None. It's almost as if the entire concept of "Americanization" is just dead now and we've stopped pretending people (other then Europeans and East Asians) assimilate.

Assimilation has always been fake and gay. Human nature is selfish. People do things in the interest of themselves first, then their families, then their extended families, then their race.

Ethnic enclaves have been a thing forever. Ask yourself: if assimilation was the norm, why would ethnic enclaves even exist?

Cuomo at the end of the day is a home grown American. Demonstrating once again that liberals do not merely lie but tell the diametric opposite of the truth, Newsom characterizes Huerta as a “patriot.”


Neoliberal apparatchiks are doing their part by describing the riot as “largely peaceful” — shades of the liberal establishment-backed Black Lives Matter riots.
