Where does MAPton fall in the faggotverse hierarchy? He's a former failed standup comic who kind of sort of got known for his early podcasts.

Being a failed comedian makes him fit in with the rest of the Dabbleverse quite nicely. Being a washed up podcaster whose podcast was relatively popular 15-20 years ago when podcasts themselves weren't that popular seems more unusual as it seems being a washed up radio guy or wannabe washed up radio guy is more common.

There's far too much crossover to not say DV and HV are 95% the same.

It's really great how everyone associated with the Dabbleverse vehemently disclaims their involvement in it.

There are many people like myself who have never watched any show that shits on Stuttering John and studiously avoid any such shows, yet are aware of what’s going on because of the overlap between Hackverse and Dabbleverse. People who are fans of that content have labeled themselves Dabblers and embrace the whole Dabbleverse designation.

You wouldn’t refer to Marvel comics as DC just because they’re both comics with superheroes. They are distinct in their output and produced by different people, even if occasionally one artist or writer might collab on the other side and even if there is some audience overlap. Similarly, insistence on labeling all of this content Dabbleverse is inaccurate and frankly lazy and stupid. No offense.

If you want to call it all Shitverse, as some do (and similar to how comic slop is referred to as capeshit by many), go for it. It’s the term I use when referring to it outside of KF.

Love him or hate him (many of us love AND hate him), he is the polarizing anchor who still has the must-watch stream. The Hackverse is fueled by harsh call-outs and IRL drama resulting from show beefs. Whereas the Dverse is intensely focused on John, the Hackverse is constantly creating and cycling through new feuds and events, with many audience members leveling up to become show regulars (e.g. Mr. Kill Everything, KarmicX, Clearwater Chad, Carlos Danger, et al.). The through-line for both is a rich vein of has-been or never-was comedians (and “comedians”), many of whom have been around since the ‘80s or ‘90s. Personally I have never watched any of the Dabbleverse shows, except in clip form after something crazy happened.

I haven’t heard of these other circles, except for Da Sektur. Karl has been a constant Stuttering John alog all along so he’s Dabbleverse. Some Dabblers are hoping Aaron will be the new SJ since John has mostly stopped producing content since December 31. Dax and Maddox never had a self-sustaining universe of their own.

There’s no need to get overly autistic about it. Hackverse people tend to be those of us who grew up during the standup comedy renaissance of the 1990s and enjoy the rage-fueled online and offline antics of some of those comics we remember from back in the day. Dabbleverse people are fucking obsessed with Stuttering John.

There’s certainly an argument to be made that any show that’s a derivative of Stern or OnA should be classified as Dabbleverse. But that still wouldn’t apply to a show like MLC.
