Regarding the whole Susie x Kris, Susie x Noelle thing.
I think Toby's plan is for Noelle and Susie to come to a head at the festival and will ultimately wind up driving a wedge between Susie and Noelle, then Noelle and Kris. Which is gonna fuck with Kris and be the catalyst that gets him to start trusting us more, if we repair the relationship (which will be impossible in a HARDCORE DOE RAPE SHOUT OUTS TO /k/ Snowgrave route).
How I imagine the festival is gonna go: >Kris and Susie show up together to pick up Noelle
>Noelle mad at Kris for being there (with the way Susie worded the invite, she thought only Susie would be there)

Honestly stuff aside is deltarune even worth getting into atp? I liked undertale when it first came out and tried to get into deltarune but it didn’t quite stick with me

To me, yes. Chapters 3 and 4 were a massive improvement over 2. Everyone is talking about le rape but that’s only in the weird route, chapter 4 especially to me is a really good character development chapter (though I haven’t finished it yet), but is actually engaging unlike the slogs of dialogue in chapter 2. Also the visuals and animations have improved a lot and the game looks fantastic.
It's all well and good until out of nowhere, Gaster shows up as the final boss and hits you with a
Kris.

I guess? Overall it's not a bad game, I find its pricing balanced but you have to accept that it will end in a cliffhanger bc it's part 4/7.
Toby Fox is not Yu Suzuki, he can actually make engaging content even when he makes a third episode holding nothing but filler.
Chapter 4 is genuinely good and this shit is much like the genocide ruote in old undertale.
Nobody points at the fact that killing every enemy is long, boring and tedius grinding, it's all about sans undertale and the funny meme song.
Probably, it's just "be a terrible person", it skips most of the dialogue and you need to grind enemies like in a genocide playtrough. the boss you fight in chapter 2 isn't even unique, its just the regualr secret boss of the chapter.
Toby spent so long working on these two chapters he just forgot how the internet worked, I like to imagine he started genuinely talking and thinking like Spamton towards the end of development
The new chapters are genuinely really really good aswell, and proves that Toby still has the touch, but holy shit this is funny.

I always considered undertale to be one of my favorite games, when chapter 1 was stealth dropped that halloween, I played like an hour of it and got to the field of hopes and dreams part and wasnt enjoyed it in and dropped it for over year, only to return and enjoy it. Then eventually chapter 2 was stealth dropped and i played it enjoyed it all that day.
You can download the demo on steam for free which is chapter 1 and 2. If you enjoy them, then you can buy the whole thing to continue on. If not, then you only wasted your time.
