Furry Fandom and Drama General

Furries and Nazism may go together because hitler loved his dogs

Nazis liked wolves and german shepherds, commies liked bears.

Perhaps simply wolf, fox and dog is more popular than bear fursuits!

Still, furries vs feminists, whoever looses we win.
Come to think of it, feminist or SJW furries seem to be pretty rare. Probably because the whole point of furry fetish is to put huge boobs and/or cocks on animals and objectify the shit out of them. Most also seem to be gay homo faggots in real life, so they don't need to play progressive to desperately try to get pussy.

Feminist/SJW furries exist, they just don't admit they're furries or fit the obvious "furfag" mold at first glance.

A good example of this is PurpleKecleon.

Actually most are proud furfags and proud SJWs.

There is a list of some, but the info is years old and the blog owner considers non-binary and Tumblr-asexuality to be valid. There's at least one familiar face in there too.

To this day, it always seems unnatural to me to see that, especially with all that weight that has to be supported on those tippy toes. It's easier to transform a digitigrate foot into a plantigrade one without much hassle and still make it work effortlessly in design, but people still like to keep that 'animalistic' look below the waist on their figures.

People were saying earlier in this thread that furries are unfortunate to have emerged during the internet age, since it meant that the more disgusting end of the fandom was clearly visible and they could never shake the creepy image.

Were other fandoms really this bad in their early days? Having read about Rainfurrest and seen pictures of grown men soiling nappies and throwing them on people's cars, I can't imagine other fandoms could possibly have been this utterly revolting. I think the appeal of the fandom to zoophiles, who often have a load more fetishes as well, meant that it was inevitably doomed to attract some of society's worst.

Usually, it takes a while for fandoms to ferment and gain enough gross people to really start becoming visible as sick fucks. @Super Collie might know more about the furry fandom's origins / early days, though.

I don't know if you see the same cringe factor with other fandoms. Bronies, maybe. But Trekkies, Star Wars fans, etc., they've been around a long time, and although they definitely have their weirdo/loser elements, you just don't see the level of cringe you get with furries. Like, I imagine you'd be hard pressed to ever see 3PO or a Klingon wandering around the con wearing diapers.

Most of those fandoms are not as sex focused as furries. Bronies and furries have a higher than average sicko count to begin with, and have this fetish angle to them.

Here something I read once at Star Trek convention there are people who know now to pick out the freaks those people are politely but frimly asked to leave

Bronies are a kind of furries, though they're so numerous they've sort of split off at this point. Ponies have fur.

So why don't furries do that? A lot of them seem to whine about how they're stereotyped as deviants, but if they want to drop that image they need to stop said deviants from attending their conventions.

Some have tried to do that, even Uncle Kage to an extent, but it's always met with a lot of backlash from the furries for not being inclusive. It's a bit of backwards logic from the community; they don't want to be known as bizarre deviants but they also don't want to ostracize the people who give them that title, as though the problem will somehow magically fix itself as opposed to just getting worse and worse, i.e. Rainfurrest.

The reason for that, of course, is that a large chunk of the community are the revolting degenerates who'd be banned under such a policy. People will only vote to evict creeps if the creeps are actually a minority.
