He's still paying into social security as part of his taxes. I put Phil's income into the social security calculator before, retiring at 67 he and Kat would get about the equivalent of about $55k in today's money based on his peak income and marriage to Kat. That's assuming SS isn't massively changed in the next 20+ years but regardless that amount doesn't cover Phil's current spending habits and would probably only be livable if he paid off his condo, which probably wouldn't happen since he wants refinance as soon as possible to get a pile of money.

So when/if he gets another job because it's no longer sustainable, or retires, he can live the remainder of his little life as someone with all that disgraceful baggage.

I'm just saying that one of the most faggy things you can do is try and help someone who isn't helping themselves, and you have tried doing that for years with absolutely zero result.

Here's something people are leaving out of the "phil gets a iob" hypothetical:

He hasn't so much as applied for a job since before 2008. I don't think he can comprehend the degree to which the job market has enshittified since then. It's not uncommon for people to apply for dozens of jobs just to get one interview, or go through several rounds of interviews only to get ghosted. There's no way Phil could even begin to make it through a process like that.

At best, he would make a resume for one position on linkedin, apply, and when nobody responds, fire up a stream and complain about it for 3 hours until he makes $400 dollars.

Speculating on what will he do after he stops being a streamer, if he does at all, what kind of jobs he could apply for in Renton, etc, maybe it could be of guidance for him if he reads the thread (so Kiwifarms could have an impact on this aspect of his life), but employee at an italian restaurant could be one.

If it’s already hard for people in their twenties to land minimum wage jobs, imagine the chances for a frail, obese, no-self-control, no-schedule abiding 60-year-old man who’s never worked a day in his life (I'll give him Gamestop) and can barely move. He wouldn’t even be considered for anything reserved for the physically/mentally impaired, like street sweeping.

When this whole “successful streamer” façade collapses, which seems likely to me to happen in the next five years once the remaining dozen or so losers either develop a new fetish or realize they can throw half their money at better streamers or e-whores for twice the attention and surface-level respect, he’s going to be in real trouble. Especially since he has no 401k, no savings, and no unemployment coverage.

I wish we could skip ahead in the timeline to Phil applying for the jobs he seriously thinks he can get at Microsoft, Boeing, etc... He will put his illustrious online career in the resume and they can't wait to hire him. Then when he's rejected, it was the detractor's fault. Although, with Phil's luck, an HR guy there will be a fan since Bugsnax and give him untouchable immunity.

I don't think that the asymmetric movement of his mouth is actually a sign of a stroke because he always had that, even in his videos going back 15 years ago. It's most noticeable every time when he tries to pronounce the letter "o" even back then.



There are a couple of harmless non-stroke conditions than can cause an asymmetric movement of the mouth, the most common is called "asymmetric crying facies" (incidence of 0.6%.) because of its documentation done on crying babies, which is caused by an agenesis of the depressor anguli oris muscle already present at birth.



I think it's more noticeable now than before because DSP started to not close his mouth properly a lot of times. He sits around wordlessly while staring at a screen with a little gap between his lips while is jaw is slightly dragging down like a literal mouth breather more often than in the past.
