I was on Lexapro for about 2 months, this was several years ago. In hindsight, I wasn’t depressed, but I took it at the advice of my doctor at the time. Even just a 5mg dose caused me to gain a lot of weight, it made me apathetic, and I was genuinely unable to function because of it. I stopped taking it and just powered through the withdrawal symptoms. I lost all the weight and felt fine as soon as I got over the withdrawals. It was one of the worst things I’ve ever put into my body. I cannot imagine the effects of taking massive doses of that shit every day for a year or more.
