By the direction of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and in coordination with U.S. Northern Command, there are 500 Marines on "prepared to deploy status" to the Los Angeles immigration protests.

There are approximately 300 members of the California National Guard currently deployed to Los Angeles County, officials said.

Not to get too off topic but i've been watching steve's stream on and off all day and just not really feeling any of that primal level stress and anxiety I often get from watching these things. So my takeaway from today is that in 2025 leftists rioters in heart of LA are less motivated than 40 year old streamers with 4 kids.

Those images of Mexican Flags being flown over burning cars and the 101 freeway are going to be played non stop on boomer TV, and on social media.

Very important point. There's an enormous amount of boomer democrats who think it's still the 90s and that all mexicans are perfect angels like the upper class one they know at work. They have never seen any of this shit we have because TV never touches it. If CNN or NYT or any of the more traditional news sources shows images like this, regardless of how they spin it, it's going to be the nooooticing of the century. Most of my family falls in that category and i'm actually kind of worried about them, i'm happy they'll finally see the reality i've been dealing with but a lot of them are old... some have bad hearts and idk if they can handle it. I sort of hoped they could live in blissful ignorance for their golden years.
