Victor Markhoff / Ana Victoria Markhoff / vvictorman_uel - Powerchair faker pooner, has every illness, allergic to Krebs cycle, bed mayo enjoyer, kicked out of house and mental hospital, constant ebeggar, applesauce heiress paid to yeet her teets

Vicki has never uttered the words "resuscitation" or "timeout" on twitter before this moment. She's used "time out" once in a way 100% unrelated to her health. I kind of think she tells herself some of these sympathy stories so many times to refine them that she ends up believing them herself. She iteratively goes over her special times in the hospital and makes them a little more serious and life-threatening with each retelling, until it's "I had a special name for all the time I spent being assessed in the ER."

She sounds like she takes this all so seriously. I guess "trauma bay" has been replaced by "resuscitation bay" in her newest iterations, due to sounding more dramatic and less likely to be confused with a mental health eval.

They weren’t places anyone wanted to go, but that also meant people who could reign their behaviors in did so out of fear of being sent to the asylum and those that were truly sick (like the homeless we see on the streets today) did get care, shelter and structure in their lives. A schizo in the state asylum was better off than the filth covered schizo battling the voices on the streets, isolated in his own private hell
The asylum system wasn’t nearly as bad as it was made out to be.

They used one particularly terrible institution as an example of all of them, and that’s how the campaign against mental asylums got rolling. (A journalist wrote an expose working at the worst of the worst.)

Unfortunately, this happened at a time where Republicans were rallying against big government and the left was taken ill by a particularly delusional idea: That mentally ill people were made WORSE by DA SYSTEM, and if left to their own devices and some meditation and shit, they’d get magically better.

So for both the left and the right the idea that if we just close all these big, mean asylums down and leave mental healthcare to the community, felt like a smashing good plan.

It’s a shame, because someone like Victoria would be ideally suited for an asylum. No responsibility, no worries. Just nurses taking care of her, while she scribbles and draws all day.

After five months of not posting on Bluesky, Vicky came back to post this:

Fucking X to doubt. Even if we assume that some evil doctor was plotting to kill her, I very strongly doubt she has enough friends to “sit and watch over her” and make sure he doesn’t kill her.

Gee… It kinda sounds like something cooked up by someone who has very little experience with visiting hours at hospitals.

So, what did BPD look like pre-Tumblr?
It looked like Elizabeth Wurtzel. I’d recommend anyone interested in the psychopathological development of BPD to read Prozac Nation.

”Atypical depression” is what she was diagnosed with, and she ran with that diagnosis for a while, but from what I understand, she actually accepted that it was BPD all along some time before she died. Too bad she wasted all that time and money on ineffective drugs and, yes, a fuckton of psychoanalysis.

In fact, I think I’m going to re-read it when I’m going on vacation. I actually liked Wurtzel. My favorite book of hers is the one where she just snorts Ritalin and digs into her follicles with a tweezer for 300 pages.

Was she even inpatient at all last year? I recall how she planned to use a hospital bed as a hotel when came back to NYC. And how the ER turned her away triggering her last "homelessness" arc.

[post after post of Vicky giving excuses why she can't clean up after herself]
At this point, she'd actually be less unlikeable if she acted like a stereotypical rich girl and flat-out stated that she refuses to clean because manual labor is beneath her dignity.

My stomach really hurts. This must be my IBD. Woe, to be cursed to die young, felled by such an ailment, is truly the most tragic of fates. Surely the vegetables in this foodstuff must have triggered this extreme and unexpected reaction, and I must avoid them henceforth.

Is that an ant I spy on my spicy mayo takeout cup? Look how I am neglected. My poor muscles, withered and useless from myasthenia gravis, are incapable of sending it away. Here I shall lie, slowly eaten by ants, a testament to how little America cares about its disabled warriors. As I rest in power, continue to speak my name.
I pine for the days when attention-seeking teenage girls would just fantasize about dying and leaving a beautiful corpse, like in that one famous pre-Raphaelite painting of Ophelia drowning.

"Literally" can't wake up or get out of bed.

Wait, what's this about being hospitalized for mental health reasons? I've been following this thread from the beginning, but I don't remember her mentioning that (apart from her failed rehab stint in Florida).

A few things that caught my eye in that Reddit post:

And I could never take hormones because I love my voice.
Looks like she got over that mental hurdle pretty quickly.

But you said your favorite hair length is this length, and goddamn it my heart immediately went, "WE'RE KEEPING THE HAIR." You'd think my urge would be to become more masculine for you. I actually have to fight off the urge to be more feminine for you than I'm comfortable with. I blame my hormones.
A newly hatched FTM admitting that she'd willingly make herself more womanly for the boy she's crushing on because of "hormones". Very masculine of you, dood.

Allegedly that fall:

I'll keep browsing that time frame and see what I can see.

ETA: Okay you can read through that minor hospital saga by searching her twitter from 10/10/2018 to about 10/18/2018. I found nothing much worth excerpting, except I lol'd at this one:

bitch you are so white I could reflect the sun off your ass and kill a line of ants with it, shut the fuck up.

She's been hospitalized at least twice for suicide attempts. The one in the Fall of 2018 was when she infamously had a mental breakdown after meditating:

It probably wasn't a real attempt. She just told a teacher she was suicidal and was then sent to the hospital:

There was a another (alleged) suicide attempt in November 2019.

Vicky recommends the psych ward at NYU Langone Tisch Hospital, btw. 👍

edit: Details about one of her suicide attempts. She just took a bunch of Benadryl or a similar drug.

Huh, I didn't know Coco was about Belgians.

Edit:
I had parents who didn't support my mental health, even when I told them I was suicidal.
Oh really? Because in a tweet a year later where she recounts the Great Crisis of 2017 (on page 161), she claims her parents forbid her from leaving the house and told her that if she tried, they'd call 911 and tell them that she was suicidal, as if that was some kind of baseless threat. 🤔

Very intriguing that her bro has an apartment in NY. I get confused as to if her bro is a pooned out girl, or an actual boy. Or her sister is a pooned out girl, or which way round any of this is. Because she has talked about a supportive trans sibling (who I assume was 'handling her' as much as she thinks they are handling her parents for her)
She has a brother who looks very similar to her, who is a male they-them. And she has a significantly younger sister, still a minor, who she has been trying to groom into being a clone of herself.
So, what did BPD look like pre-Tumblr? Were they threatening suicide and getting locked up on a regular basis? Did they end up at freudian analysts? Did that help?
Given the theories we have about how it originates, it would make sense if it is mostly a product of the industrial era. Charlotte Perkins Gilman (Yellow Wallpaper) certainly fits the profile though, and of course the term originates from the first wave of psychoanalysts, including Freud, who had some case studies back at the turn of the century that are recognizable to modern lolcow-observers.

Either one would make sense, depending on specific hospital layout, as a place to park someone who claims to be having an anaphylactic reaction to a known allergen. They don't know when she rolls in the door that she's a liar, and even if they suspect as much, that could be a costly assumption. So I believe her that she has spent a lot of time in those places. Doesn't mean she actually needed it, though.

I always find it funny how many borderlines don't even go to the trouble of ODing on something that actually has a decent chance of working.

Least it wasn't taking 20 advil or 20 lexapro.

Also what an exhibitionist way to say "think of the future don't off yourself."

I’m not sure about that. The heritability of BPD is too high (~ 40%) for it to be such a recent phenomenon. Anecdotally, there are definitely characters in the Bible (Jezebel) and Greek literature (Medea) who meet the criteria. And let’s not forget pretty much every single character Dostoyevsky wrote about in The Brothers Karamazov, though technically they were from the industrial era (but living in agricultural Russian isolation).

It probably wasn't a real attempt. She just told a teacher she was suicidal and was then sent to the hospital:
Oh no, it was a very serious attempt. Didn’t you read how she called her friend while on the way to the train track and was all: “Goodbye cruel world!”

Can you imagine being her friend? Shit must be so exhausting. I bet you everyone of them have had multiple “I… I’m going to just END IT ALL!”-phonecalls in the middle of the night.

LMAO! Fucking BENADRYL?!

I can just picture Victoria leaving some suicide note written in a nice, calligraphic handwriting. Arranging the pillows so they’re just right. Choosing the perfect outfit. And then theatrically crying: “This world is too cruel to gentle spirits like I!” Before downing 30 Benadryls. (But not before making sure that the person who’s supposed to find her, really is 15 minutes away, because she doesn’t want to take any chances.)

I’d venture to guess that the reason she went for Benadryl and not acetaminophen, is because she’s smart enough to know that APAP WILL actually kill you. Just in a very unpleasant way.

I always point toward Saint Bridget of Sweden when people say BPD is a new phenomena. Also, the witch trials and similar things seem like BPD personalities gone wild to me along with how female insane behavior tend to cluster and socially spread.

LBR; a lot of BPD symptoms in women would probably not be as severe if there weren't people willing to enable the behavior (and yes, I'm looking at men like @Fapcop and their "I can fix her" mentality. There's a reason why BPD symptoms tend to subsidize with age as they age out of being able to use men for enabling).

Benadryl can do it- it's allegedly what killed "Nex" and it ranks in the top 15 drugs involved in OD deaths in the USA, apparently. It can cause arrhythmias and seizures, which are not usually fatal but give you a better shot at yeeting off this mortal coil than a lot of things. But at her body weight she would have to take more than 2 grams, or thereabouts. That is a fuckton of 50 mg caps.

Overdose, apart from drugs of addiction like fent, is just not what it used to be. The FDA really tightened up the requirements for OTCs (APAP would never get approved now) and even most prescription meds are dispensed in quantities that are only enough to give you a very bad day. Gone are the days of doling out Seconal or other barbiturates, large quantities of benzos, or big bottles of Oxy. Unless you can get your hands on some tricyclics or lithium or grandpa's blood pressure drugs...that leaves APAP and a week in the ICU waiting for your liver to tap out.

Might as well live.

(Every time I visit this thread I end up googling a stat or something that results in Google reminding me that there's help for my depression. But the help for my depression is Kiwi Farms.)

Having a “cute” nickname for the Resuscitation ward is so disgustingly on brand for her, it’s really wild how her munchie brain wants everyone to take this super seriously because she’s constantly almost dying, but also tee-hee I’m in “time out”, don’t forget what a cute smol bean I am!!! So transparent and exhausting.

The meditation story is pure gold tho. All she was asked to do was let a thought pass, and she had to run out sobbing and spiral into self-harm. First of all her little sister is alive, Vicki was just missing her, but also… you can let the thought of her go for the moment and then just think about her later you dolt. “I can’t let her go, I CAN’T!!!” as if she’d been asked to stop grieving someone who died yesterday or something. It’s a huge insight on her psychology, she can’t let a negative thought go if instead she can torture herself with it, and then use her pain to make a big spectacle of herself, both in class and then recounting the story later online.

100%, but she will also try to torture those around her with them too. Her inability to even try to self regulate is pretty amazing.

I think she's trying to come up with reasons why she can't use what for many is a very useful tool (and which she'd benefit from IMO) but it boils down to "I didn't actually try this because I ignored the instructions, but anyway here's why it doesn't work and is in fact dangerous for me. If you recommend this you are actively trying to kill me. "

I’m starting to be genuinely curious about the rest of her family… Are her brothers/sisters equally fucked up?

The historical parallels are also interesting.

She’s like straight out of Victorian era salon, where the poor, sickly heiress gets fainting spells and needs to spend every autumn taking water, because the air in the city is making her ill.

(LITERALLY!)

She’s the kind of woman that they invented psychiatry to fix lmao!
