I would agree with that, and said as much in the Rekieta thread. He could have said something like "Bro, that's gross. I meant actual pink socks. Fuck off."You can condemn Melton and condemn Aaron participating in that disturbing "joke" from the chatter instead of all the options on the table (banning him, ignoring it, asking why the fuck the guy's acting like a creep) as well.
My issue here is the attempt, by Rekieta and others, to draw a false equivalency. They are not equal.
Whereas in Melton's case, he actually makes the "jokes" about children himself, Aaron made an innocuous statement about pink socks that his daughter needed for a school project, and then somebody in his audience made a crass comment that he should have disavowed more strongly.
Not to mention I just think that any Meltonite, to include Nick, trying to make hay about this is rich.
Quite possibly. I'm hardly ignorant of the fact that Aaron is a grifter.I don't think there's anything more to it than Aaron not wanting to chase away any potential paypig
Don't forget, I'm the guy that said that if you really wanted to criticise Aaron for something worthwhile (other than getting involved in the degenerate polycule shit in the first place), you should have gone harder on the fact this dumbass actually thought it might good idea to try and organize a boxing event that would be of at least some financial benefit to the guy who is sexualizing his children.
In general, I've been rather unimpressed, disappointed, and... occasionally... downright angry, over how Aaron has handled Melton. This also includes the fact he's done very little to counter Melton as compared to his ex-wife and her partner.
But see, here's the rub: I feel like we can't have that discussion in this thread, because the short bus kids will throw a conniption fit over the fact that that discussion inevitably implicates WHY nobody should ever want to materially assist Melton in any way, and why Aaron, or really any father, especially shouldn't.
