We're only a few days away from s4 starting and I'm just not feeling any hype for this at all in me. This is the first time I've actually not looked forward to a new Fishtank season. That good feeling I had in my bones about s3 before it started is completely gone.

Is it weird that I always forget Josie actually won season 1? The competition aspect of Fishtank has become so irrelevant to its entertainment value that I never even think about it anymore. I guess that's the point though lol

She is easily the least talked about fish in the franchise these days, even Mauro and Megan get more chatter about them. Up until that Ben and Chris Lynch podcast Damiel was in a similar situation.

The competition aspect of Fishtank has become so irrelevant to its entertainment value that I never even think about it anymore.

That wasn't really the case for Season 2, but by the time Season 3 began the competition stuff was so thoroughly exposed to be rigged and pointless that its actually a net negative for Jet to lean into it. A big part of the fun in fishtank was the belief that cheating and doing underhanded shit could make you win, Letty shaking the life out of that baby doll in the laundry room wasn't just funny because it was cheating, it was visually hilarious because out of context of the show it looked like an abusive babysitter throttling a kid caught on security cameras.

Combination of everything, Twitter, Kiwifarms, Reddit, Discords you name it. Josie has been active for 2 years now but you wouldn't know it because nobody tweets about stuff she does. Jet literally asked this question to the site chat a month ago during stream stars which is why I started pondering it.

The main contenders for most forgotten are Damiel, Josie, Alexis, Smack and Ted. Megan and Mauro continuously get brought up about how shit they were and Ted should be in that position but nobody even remembers to talk shit about him.

If I'm not mistaken, I think they wanted that for some reason. Jet joked about spending very little time editing the trailer, and the trailer itself was clearly a deliberately half-assed parody of S1's trailer. I still think that Bloodgames 2 is somehow going to be involved in some way, and that there's a very big audience gaslight coming with S4. No clue what it is, but I just don't see them being this non-chalant about S4 otherwise. That or we're seeing the full effects of production-wide nitrous withdrawals on display.

Not sure if this is new but I just found https://docs.fishtank.live/ which has some documentation on the show and, for some reason, an AI chat. It can't be that new because it still has the old season pass prices

I couldn't get an archive to work but it's probably not that important anyways.

Also on another note http://fishtank.observer now has a graph for the top five stocks now and tracks the amount of users with a gifted pass, but it's currently inaccurate because it initially counted every active user in chat as a user with a gifted pass. I'll probably reset the site before S4 starts to fix that.
