Someone posted this meme on facebook which I think has some validity. It is in reference to the LA situation but I think wrongly so. How hard is it to become legal if you are Mexican? Someone wrote that there are 0 channels for them to be legal which to me makes no sense.

I am Canadian so am not familiar with US immigration/work visa requirements. I only know that I as a Canadian can legally stay in the US for 6 months but not work unless I have a work visa

I sympthise with you. I've always felt myself torn in tow directions. My idealism is towards a hobbit the style utopian anarchism. in the shire. And then there are times like now where all I want is the hardest of authoritarian right to come down fucking hard on those who would fuck up the shire with their putridness

Literally every country on the planet right now has immigration laws.

You can't just sneak into a country when theres a legal process to get in. This isn't the holocaust, it isn't slavery, and it isn't segregation.

It's "don't trespass".

There are multiple legal channels to become a citizen or otherwise stay in the US, paying a rapist drug trafficker to sneak you inside in a meat truck at 3AM is not one of them.

Easy. Nobody was forced to cross the international border illegally. They chose of their own free will to do so. We, as Americans, have no obligation to entertain the delusion that these people have a right to stay in our land simply by nature of them claiming they have a right to do so. It is ours. They were not born of the land, they did not breathe its air with the screams of their birth, and they do not hold love for it in their heart.

They are not our countrymen, and today they have shown their true colors. Literally. By raising the tricolor of the United States of Mexico on American soil and attacking our people. This is not a question of rights and civil liberties. This is a question of sovreignty, and who owns the land. The Americans or the Mexicans. This land belongs to the Americans, and all those who hold allegiance to Mexico must now be expelled from our land.

Its not even the Mexican people attacking our nation on our streets today doing this. The Mexican State, their own President, has encouraged their actions. What has happened today was a formalized policy of a foreign nation and an act of war. All Mexicans must be expelled now and the Mexican Nation, All its people, and the Government who is their sovereign, All must be brought to account by the United States for this egregious violation of sovereignty.
