On a similar note, I was on mobile earlier today and some troll chided a Californian for not making a social media post over the past few days about the happenings and including "Fuck ICE." Really sucks that nobody is allowed to have a differing opinion or keep it to themselves in these parts of the country -- all by people who talk about diversity, respect, tolerance, etc. - at least until it involves anyone they dislike on whatever whim.

I have no idea if they were legit warnings or done for show, but some Democrats folks were making posts discouraging violent protests because it would validate everything Trump was saying and doing to that point. Of course the protestors did what they thought was the best thing in response: they decupled down on the violence and illegal behavior.
Maybe I'm misreading the room, but some of the old-time Dems seem to realize the party is at a crossroads and these violent protests are apt to have the opposite impact they did in 2020 if they remain fresh in the minds of independent or undecided voters when midterm elections at all levels take place.

@HTTP Error 404 (if not, apologies to whomever it was) who said that protestors with medic insignia are actually coordinating the violent activity in some form under the guise of being there to render medical aid as needed. With that in mind, it makes sense their role as "medic" is more of a LARP than a genuine desire to provide medical attention. It makes me think back to the Rittenhouse protests where the so-called medics were ill-equipped for anything beyond a scrape - epsecially after Kyle shot his would-be assailants.
