You guys have to understand that this area is pretty much what the whole riot is.
When it went to Little Tokyo yesterday it was just a couple streets south.
When people think of LA are they really thinking of like...5x5 blocks?
This isn't a massive protest.
I have personally seen DHS set up in City hall's boundaries, because there are actually underground access points for them in this area.

I would also imagine that by this point a lot of the biggest agitators have been hauled off.

The handmaiden’s tale is a great example-it was used to rally opposition from liberals and feminists over Project 2025-“hey you saw on the handmaiden’s tale how women were turned into brood mares by an oppressive theocracy-well that’s gonna happen in real life”.

One easily leads to the other. You make a hard distinction-most people don’t.

Maybe I'm misreading the room, but some of the old-time Dems seem to realize the party is at a crossroads and these violent protests are apt to have the opposite impact they did in 2020 if they remain fresh in the minds of independent or undecided voters when midterm elections at all levels take place.

Newsom still has the perfect optics to be president even if he is an empty suit.
