Here’s one I actually complained about to a friend who is a Daily Mail editor. The IDF didn’t “storm” shit. I explained that headlines like this contribute to violence against innocent people. I’ve complained about such headlines before and the response is “Well we really need people to click through.” But most people don’t click through, they just believe the headlines that affirm what they want to believe.

I think this war has dispelled any theories that Jews control the media as it's been overly negative to Israel.
You'd imagine so, but I often see antisemites complaining that the news media uncritically defends Israel and ignores the Palestinian cause. (Here's an example.) It's astounding.

Yeah this site is infested with thousands of these lunatics. Whenever someone gets high and mighty here about how KF users are some kind of upper echelon of internet user, I always wonder if they’ve noticed that the majority of people here buy into this bullshit. They’re spiritual Redditors.

I think this war has dispelled any theories that Jews control the media as it's been overly negative to Israel. No, media is controlled by leftists, shitlibs, and foreign interest that masks itself under both
Unironically, seeing the media and "human rights" organizations (some that I'd volunteered with) lie so blatantly during the 2006 Lebanon War was the thing that made me a Zionist... my first no-no belief (and I still don't have many... I'm still a leftist in most regards). Maybe my awakening that liberals lie too would have eventually come anyway, but it was a big eye-opener seeing multiple scandals where respectable mainstream newspapers were publishing badly photoshopped/staged images in order to make Israel look bad and it became one of my core memories staying up all night going down this rabbit hole.

But I don't even think the problem is that a lot of journalists are leftists. There always have been and always will be biased, activist journalists. I don't think that any journalist comes out of J school ready to set aside their own biases and give a totally fair explanation of the "bad guys'" point-of-view. Every 20-something is sure that the way to fix the world is to make sure that people believe the things that they believe and it's fine to massage the truth to save the world. It's the editors' job to hold them to a standard and make sure that their biases don't get too bad... but there are certain sacred cows that for some reason make the editors terrified of the young journalists. Israel/Palestine, trans stuff, BLM (at least a couple years ago)... I bet that the Ukraine War is another one, but it's harder for me to see because I very strongly agree with the perspective that is being shilled.

The "Gaza convoy," which is making its way to the Rafah crossing, is currently in Tripoli, Libya. It is estimated that about 1,500 people are in the convoy. Source

Israel Defense Minister Katz has instructed the IDF to prevent jihadist protesters from entering Egypt into Gaza:
I expect the Egyptian authorities to prevent the arrival of jihadist protesters at the Egypt-Israel border and not to allow them to carry out provocations and try to enter Gaza - something that would endanger the safety of IDF soldiers and we will not allow it.

These jihadist protesters also endanger the Egyptian regime and constitute a threat to all moderate Arab regimes in the region.

Their desire to join forces and assist Hams stems from the identity of views with the murderous terrorist organization of Jew hatred and the desire to impose the ideas of radical Islam with the backing of the Iranian axis of evil throughout the region.

We must defend Israel’s invasion of Iran.
You may not be aware of this, but Iran attacked Israel just a few months ago.

Ah, she's pulling that thing sovereign citizens do in the US where they call any arrest a "kidnapping." Fucking lol. Those fucks should get kidnapped and held for ransom. Let them get a taste of the real thing. Why the fuck do people fall for this shit?
Here's a blog entry from PZ Myers. I check in on his blog from time to time because I can count on it to supply an orthodox progressive perspective on current events.

That PR coup went perfectly

Meanwhile, out on the sunny Mediterranean, a small ship carrying a token amount of humanitarian aid and Greta Thunberg sailed to Gaza, protesting the Israeli blockade of Palestine. Israel has seized the ship and arrested all on board for the crime of attempting to deliver food to starving people.

This is exactly what they wanted, you know. A small ship, an unarmed crew, a negligible amount of supplies…the only way they could make a difference is if Israel drew attention to them with this kind of excessive military action. Thunberg is smiling because she successfully provoked the action they wanted.

It's clear that Israel went out of its way to deny Greta and the other selfie yacht mariners any sane justification to claim they were handled roughly. No one was beaten up, threatened, or detained any longer than was unavoidable. Nonetheless, this is "excessive military action" that perfectly validates all concerns about Israeli heavy-handedness. Jacobin's headline for the incident was "Not Even the Sea Is Free From Israel’s Brutality." Even the fact that Greta brought a negligible amount of "aid" with her is turned into a cudgel against Israel: They won't allow even a tiny amount of aid in!

I was struck by the sheer paranoia of this comment on Myers' blog post:
I do hope very much that Greta and the other people on this voyage don’t do an Epstein while the cameras in their torture prison mysteriously fail. This regime is capable of any depravity, and almost completely protected from scrutiny by Western nations.

Weren't there literally Israeli soldiers who died relieving/rescuing American servicemen when the durka-durkas went and derka'd Bidens silly aid pier?
Not quite. Two Israeli soldiers were killed (and more injured) securing the pier for the Americans last July. People who say shit about “dying for Israel” are not serious and do not have functioning brains.
