War Israel is poised to launch operation on Iran, sources say - The U.S. anticipates Iran could retaliate on certain American sites in neighboring Iraq.

U.S. officials have been told Israel is fully ready to launch an operation into Iran, multiple sources told CBS News.

The U.S. anticipates Iran could retaliate on certain American sites in neighboring Iraq. This is part of the reason the U.S. advised some Americans to leave the region earlier Wednesday, with the State Department ordering non-emergency government officials to exit Iraq due to "heightened regional tensions."

President Trump's Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff is still planning to meet with Iran for a sixth round of talks on the country's nuclear program in the coming days, two U.S. officials said.

Mr. Trump spoke about Iran at an appearance at the Kennedy Center on Wednesday, telling reporters Americans were advised to leave the region "because it could be a dangerous place, and we'll see what happens." Mr. Trump also reiterated the U.S. did not want Iran to develop a nuclear weapon, saying: "We're not going to allow that."

Israeli officials and White House spokespeople declined to comment.

The Trump administration has sought a deal with Iran to limit the country's nuclear program, as international watchdogs say the country has continued to enrich uranium to near-weapons level. The talks are delicate, and it's unclear how close the two sides are to a deal: Mr. Trump has said he will not accept any uranium enrichment by Iran, but Iranian leaders have indicated they won't accept those terms, the president said earlier this week.

For years, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been deeply skeptical of any deal with Iran. The two countries have been nemeses since Iran's 1979 revolution. Netanyahu's office says Israel has conducted "countless overt and covert operations" to stunt the growth of Iran's nuclear program.

Last month, Mr. Trump said publicly he had urged Netanyahu not to strike Iran while his administration pursues negotiations with the regime.

"I told him this would be inappropriate to do right now because we're very close to a solution," Mr. Trump said.

Shit or get off the pot. This cheft puffing has gone on a while, and it hasn't changed a damn thing about the nuclear program. All this shit is just meant to scare Iran into stopping, and there's no planned action behind it because they know Iran will fuck up the global economy for decades in retaliation. Bluff has been called. It's just pro-wrestling kayfabe now.

Israel has struck their program before with air strikes. And stuxnet. I don't see why they wouldn't again. Iran won't do shit as always. It's like putting ant traps down but they never reach the queen.

"Nothing ever happens" bros keep winning?

Is this happening or not?
Right now the chances for something happening are slightly higher than the usual nothing ever happens.

Iran has been flirting with creating a nuclear weapon for a while now but was held back by a deal: it doesn't enrich uranium and admits inspections in exchange for not getting sanctioned. Big beautiul God-Emperor Trump withdrew from the deal in 2018, claiming it is not in the US best interest. Iran shrugged and started working on enriching uranium that can, potentially, be turned into a bomb within weeks.

Seven years later Trump is back and proposes a new deal: Iran dismantles its entire nuclear program in exchange for not getting sanctioned. Since the terms are 1) worse than the original ones and 2) there are no guarantees the US doesn't withdraw again, Iran went "fool me twice, shame on me" and is telling the Orange Man to pound sand. It should be noted that in these seven years Iran has made clear progress in the means of delivery, demonstrating that their missiles can deliver a nuclear charge not only to American military bases, but also to Israel.

Israel is looking for a war with Iran right now, because it doesn't have a nuclear bomb yet, and sanctions are in place still. If the deal goes through, without sanctions, oil-rich Iran is likely to dramatically accelerate its development both socially and militarily (it could become another Saudi Arabia without sanctions). And if the deal fails, Iran will quickly build a nuclear bomb and become an even stronger threat that would be scary to attack, and pointless if we're talking about attacking nuclear facilities. Both options are bad for Israel, the only good option is to attack right now in the hope that it will still have the strength to do enough damage and at least set Iran back a decade or two, and ideally cause internal upheaval and the collapse of the Ayatollahs' regime.

So Israel wants war, it suits their objective interests. It is quite possible that if the US and Iran even come close to making a deal, Israel will derail it, unless the terms end up being completely crippling. Perhaps that is why Trump is putting forward such blatantly unacceptable terms, he may realise that there will be no deal without Israel's consent, and Israel will not agree to a compromise.

As a result, we have a situation in which war seems almost inevitable, unless the US backs down at the last minute, agrees to Iran's terms, and strongarms Israel hard. A likely story.

I assume you forgot the tit for tat that went on not that long ago. Israel says they're going to nuke everyone if they face existential danger. There is no reason to assume Iran won't have a similar response to major attacks on their soil.

In the grand scheme of things it isn't much. Iran has been struck on their soil including nuclear projects many times, by Israel, and had top guys assassinated as well. They never make a big retaliation. Even with Biden in office where they got away with much more, and killed a few Americans it still wasn't a big retaliation. This dance has been going on for decades, and Iran always responds with a slap when they've been punched.

Then clearly there is no need for chest beating. The same thing gets said about Russia. If nobody is going to do anything, then go ahead and drop the bombs. Why the blustering?

Inevitable unless everyone does absolutely nothing at all.
Really a hard choice
It appears that Bibi has finally said "fuck it, I'm gonna blow up the entire fucking planet and good luck stopping me you fucktard goyim". The Samson Option, if Israel is going down it will take life on earth with it.
Not the first time kid bibbler said that

Have you forgotten this ?

Short of using nuclear bunker busters, I fail to see how an effective attack would be possible. Iran had a ton of deep underground bunkers that are unreachable though conventional bunker busters.

If Israel starts dropping nuclear bunker busters on Iran with US approval, then Russia will start using tactical nukes in Ukraine. That will force NATO to either respond or look weak. If NATO responds, Russia will declare war on NATO. China will use the opportunity to seize Taiwan. African warlords will use the opportunity to seize power and control over western resources in Africa, forcing western powers to either lose them or open multiple fronts in Africa.

Y’all know where this is going.

Things could happen,
  • Israel declaring total war on Iran
  • India and Pakistan dropping nukes on each other
  • The United States declaring war on Mexico and invading
  • Russia and Ukraine declaring peace and going back to just drinking themselves to death
but unfortunately most of the time things don't actually happen. At this point it seems like countries are basically writing fan fiction about how they could totally go to war and win against their enemy but then not really doing much.

I think isreal will probably end up striking but I don't see ww3 happening at best Iran chimps out at worst another trip to the pvp zone. Either way the regime in Iran will probably collapse.

This is a trivial problem. Satellite intelligence can tell us where every entrance and exit to the deep bunker is. Send a plain ol’ cruise missile to hit every single one. Boom, now the facility is completely useless even though you didn’t blow up the contents.

Can all world leaders just have the spine to say sandniggers are more trouble than they are worth and deal with them accordingly. They either stay in their own countries breeding terrorism and sodomising their family, or emigrate to first world countries and turn them into shit holes too while contributing nothing. The few that do work take the dead end low IQ jobs, we have plenty of white retards already that need those jobs, we don't need people coming to the country to take them.

The fact the farms of all places roots for Israel for the most part says it all (when it comes to how they deal with brown people, not subjugating other countries governments etc).
