If you lose the hydraulics do the flaps become loose?
Not on any modern planes unless you loose hydraulic pressure. The older boeings were mechanically actuated systems with linkages (this was a major benifit over airbus fly-by-wire if the entire electronic just dies). The newer ones use an electronic switch linked to hydraulic servos at the flaps I think.
Main reason for that was because I the older MD's would elevator jam since you can't lock them in place and high winds could jam the actuator arm and bend it stuck (NTSB report).

For the RAT to deploy they either lost eletrical, hydraulic, or both.
RAM air turbine
I wonder if the audio could be finagled to listen for a RAT... Here's a RAT deploted on another boeing and what it sounds like...

Edit: Alleged CCTV footage:

They didn't set slats or flaps lmao.

For non plane spergs, this is exactly like trying to merge into the highway after climbing a on ramp while you have your parking brake on and you're stuck on second gear.

It's even worse when you have a fucking electronic checklist holding your hand all the fucking time telling what you're supposed to do next and reminding you of checking for shit on modern aircraft.

TL:DR pajeet pilots are more retarded than a 90 year old granny driving.
Back in 2019 the Pakistanis forgot to set the landing gear, landed the plane on it's belly and turbines and then instead of making a crash landing, they tried to take off and abort, so they flew with 2 burning engines and no hydraulics for 20 seconds until they blew up.

To be fair, they were both gay, so were almost certainly just as obsessed with poo as the rest of the indians.
Can't imagine what two faggots would've wanted to do in a shithole like fucking Ahmedabad.
this just gets better and better, the only non-jeets were faggots

let's fund more jeet flights
This video is 24 seconds and was filmed from a slightly different angle. At the beginning, there's a loud roaring sound (probably from the RAT being deployed) that's not heard in the 17-second clip.
that is .... just flying into the ground, though I think I see a stall at the end there (understandable the last control motion is almost always pull up)

but it looks like a perfectly good plane they just fcuked

This is truly peak Indian competence. Boeing's share price is saved.

Alleged that there is current one crash survivor in serious (but able to talk) condition. 50-60 (medical students) Injured total rn and 202 recovered.

Lucky bastard needs to buy the lottery if true. Seat 11A is way up front so not sure how his ass survived. You'd think he be at the back but maybe the Jeets were all fucking sitting wrong.

11A is apparently the Emergency Exit seat.

My guess would be that he opened that thing and hauled ass.

But yeah, one lucky bastard for sure. I’ve read some pretty wild stories over the years, like the one about the rear gunner in a Lancaster bomber who survived a parachute-less free fall from 15.000 feet, because he happened to land in a huge pile of snow, after some snow covered tree branches took some of the terminal velocity.

But this one probably tops that.

It looks like they just never had any real lift. Just ehn, and then down again. Terrifying. What can cause that? Stupid question but could it be overloaded? You always see people with piled high luggage, like they’ve packed half the house with them. How strict are the checks on what’s been loaded

Might be fake, on the passenger manifest it's a Mrs. Patel S. on seat 11. No 11A seat is listed on the manifest.

Double engine failure. They should be able to takeoff with just one engine. Which if it happens at that altitude, the best outcome is hope for a Miracle on the Hudson situation.

When do they fail? Another stupid question but it looks like they go right off the end of the runway when they’re very low, you can see it kicks up great big clouds of dust. Forgive my lack of knowledge but aren’t you supposed to hit certain speeds and lift at a certain point along that runway? They look like they NEVER had the speed and lift, aren’t they supposed to abort before that, or is it way too late? So if you’re too slow by ‘almost at the end of the point you should be going fast at ‘ it’s you chicken out and try again?
There was a line on a feed that said someone who was on the same plane as it flew in said the AC and entertainment system went off on the previous flight. Now it’s gone.
Incredible someone walked out of it.

Holy shit, imagine missing your plane because you’re arguing with a fellow Jeet over curry or whatever. And on your way to rebook your ticket, you see the plane you were supposed to be on hit the ground in a massive fireball.
"I have come to redeem..."
