Video Game Archival Autism / TCRF / Jul / Sonic Retro / And More - Harvest Troon: Friends of Byuu-Near-al town

We didn't even know his name until after he died. His thread wasn't even negative. It was similar to.. fuck.. Ulillilia? Is that how that crazy man wrote it?
Ulillillia i think it's supposed to be? That's how you pronounce it, anyways.

Yeah, he showed up and wasn't a complete spaz in his own thread, so it pretty much died until he decided to become an hero.
The Byuu stuff was honestly kind of sad if you read the communication he had with null. Very fucking deceitful because he was trying to honey trap null, but if you read the rest of it, it's clear he was being pressured by his "friends" into doing this shit. I suspect that they likely put on so much pressure on the poor bastard into getting rid of the site that killing themselves seemed like only way possible. Coincidentally, xkeeper claims to be a friend of his...

Whoever’s working to make a TCRF clone will probably be very happy to hear that…

In fact, here’s a test export I made of everything in the “fan games” category. (This includes all the templates on the game pages as well as a few subcategory pages.)
We should probably work quick before X finds a way to disable the feature though.
So is this grabbing the entirety of the articles or just the main landing pages for the game articles, because some can have upwards of 20+, 30+, even 40+ sub-pages covering things from bugs, regional differences, pre-release materials, development history, and prototypes, some of which also contain numerous sub-pages in and of themselves. For example, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island has 41 unique pages, half of those taken up by prototypes alone.

I suspect he was going to kill himself either way, so his friends decided to try and use that to take down the farms. Dude couldn't even wait for Null to talk to his lawyer and get back to him.

I believe all the subpages would be in the same category and therefore grabbable, though that isn’t really important anymore since there’s already been at least two full TCRF dumps posted here.

They usually aren't. Most subpages have their own unique categories re:their topic. Grabbable, yes, but it would be an absolute nightmare to organize

Looks like someone isn't too happy :story:

Appears to be IP-specific too, which just amps up the hilarity even more.

EDIT: Holy shit it's every page now, this is great

What is? The green bg message about the DDoS? That's been there for ages now.

e: I am a retard, did he redirect special:export to another article?

Just witnessed the creation and deletion of an article on TCRF called "Kiwifarms". The contents of the article stated "Xkeeper is a faggot troon". Staff's response? Deleting the article (obviously), banning the editor (obviously), and claiming the editor misspelt a slur (what?).

...If he's lurking the forums here, he surely knows what 'troon' means. It's intentional. Putting crap like this in an edit note is wasteful, if nothing else. Retard.

I think he implemented the change on the system level (i.e. it’s like that for everyone). I did the usual airplane mode trick to give myself a new IP beforehand.
Yes, except now it's site-wide for me :story:

Does it redirect for you too now? When I checked it earlier on another IP it didn't redirect. EDIT: Seen your edit, this is hilarious.
Yet another passive admission that he is nothing without the site others built for him.

To compound on this (not that it's really relevant now that the exporter was disabled lol seethe harder x), here's a breakdown of the categories on all the Super Mario 64 pages (a relatively medium-sized article), for example:

The following are NOT in the 'Subpage' category nor any other category shared by the main Super Mario 64 page. You'd have to scrape each individual category then manually fish these pages out when organizing. Also note that the root pages for Prerelease and Development are here.

Bugs is in "Bugs"
Development is in "Development"
Notes is in "Game notes"
Prerelease is in "Prereleases"
Proto: Super Mario 64 is in "Prototypes" but also "Mario series" so it would get scraped along with the main page

As an aside, the N64DD port was tagged in a dozen different categories so if you went category-by-category, you're bound to get a lot of duplicate pages.

I know this is kind of a retarded idea, but what if we made a thread or subforum dedicated to datamining in games and all that shit? And also documenting technical shit specific to videogames and such, mostly to force TCRF users to navigate to this site and probably require to quote it if they plan on adding that info to the articles there lol.

I know it's impractical, but would be really fucking funny. I know there are things in /vr/ where they do datamining and stuff, but those threads get 404 eventually, so it's not the best place to keep that sort of information, and XYcreature bans people from 4chan anyways.
