According to this most beer metabolizes around 5 hours into a beer or two. If he is taking prescription medications along said beer there is a chance most of it doesn't piss hot into a test. Considering the fact that he is taking prescription medication there is a chance he is getting high like a kite just taking a bit more than the recommended of prescription medication.
