I just heard some incredible news that changes everything about the Israeli airstrikes and completely negates the need for the US to do anything but refuel but I cannot believe it's real. Im researching it now

This? Israel lacks the bombs and bombers needed to penetrate the nuclear sites to outright destroy the program. The semi-new update this past month was that their enrichment facilities are deeper than originally thought. Hypothetically, you could bomb the entrances and ventilation shafts and seal everyone in a radioactive tomb, but there's no way of knowing if those sites have CO2 scrubbers used on submarines to survive long enough for the IRGC to rescue the nuclear team.

In that scenario, you have just kicked the hornets nest, and only killed a few guards at the entrance and non of the technicians and nuclear infrastructure. It would be a mission failure.

I have a sneaking suspicious that Israel has a trick up its sleeve by playing the long game like with the pagers that they would trigger or some cyber attack on the ground but that remains to be seen. Wouldn't be surprised if Mossad is already in Irans borders for on the ground ops.

If Iran falls, the "Axis of Resistance" aka the terror funding slush fund to Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthi's evaporates which could theoretically solve a lot of problems. I get why Trump is trying to negotiate but he failed to realize that Iran leadership does not care about the people and just wants to hit Israel.

A large issue looming over the mission is the missiles themselves. You obviously need to take out the nuclear sites, but also the missile installations to decrease the severity of a retaliatory attack and make sure fighters could safely bomb their targets. That will take stress off the Iron Dome and prevent civilian casualties.
