Last year when Iran was lobbing missiles at Israel, Israel basically kept their retaliation to the minimum, but did strike a SAM battery, destroying it's radar.

I have a feeling Israel wanted things settled in Lebanon, Gaza, and Yemen (or more settled) before really hitting them hard. Plus testing AA in their strike last year was a good test run for this
