As you might already know, Santa Anna had not been particularly merciful towards the Texan secessionists at either the Alamo or the earlier Battle of Goliad, so naturally the Texans didn't give a flying fuck how rude it was to tell him that either his signature or his brains would be on that piece of paper.
An honorable man would have killed himself out of pure shame afterwards, but thankfully for Santa Anna nobody has ever accused Mexicans of being an honorable people, and of course following the Mexican-American War and the American occupation of their capital city the Mexican government would again protest at being forced to agree to terms at gunpoint despite that being the entire reason why anyone goes to war in the first place.

You forget that the F-15 is an American plane and thus hard physical limits like "max takeoff weight" are mere suggestions a sufficiently determined and demented group of persons can easily circumvent.
