Back after WW2, the US government conducted a couple of studies on what the best way to stop nuclear proliferation would be. The two prevailing schools of thought were controlling access to information, and controlling access to fissile material. They took a team of fresh out of college graduates, sat them down, and essentially went "Alright, heres any and all information a foreign power would be able to feasibly get. Can you figure out how to make a nuke from this?". They did, scarily quickly, and that wad 50 years ago. The school of thought that argued for restricting fissile materials won out.

They're not going to make the Tsar Bomba, or anything close to it, but they can absolutely make something that Israel will think of as ANNUDDAH SHOAH.

Irans response was super measured IMO, they dident hit skyscrapers unless that was their goal and they failed but that seems unlikely with the consitancy of them hitting defense points. All that to say, im kinda thinking history is going to be on Irans side, Israel looks like an overly anxious aggresor that is jumping at shadows after the great mario kart attacks of oct 7th. Like if Iran DID get a nuke and DID use it on Isreal like, not to be callous but that would be the WORST thing strategically Iran could do cause then the whole world would beg for their blood and the military industrial complex loves nothing more the popular support for wars.
