Well damn. Guess that Sega Retro page where someone asked if Coffin had transitioned was wrong. Had me bamboozled for a while too. There really was a lot of evidence against that being the case, but if they're "open" about it now, I guess that settles it. Then again, if my first project was Sonic X-Treme, with the shit that they went through, I'd probably go insane and cut my cock off too.

I wound up hating this word so much thanks to troons and others in the woke crew. The most innocuous things wind up getting labeled as problematic like the gypsy matchmaker from the sims which somehow triggers them into a frothing meltdown.
There is a G1 My little pony named this, there is so much virtue signaling from people about renaming theirs.
Never-lived-with-gypsies Rroma respecter idiots.
Most Americans don't know that gypsies are just European niggers, so it's always hilarious when you see them trying to virtue signal like they dindu nuffin when they probably never even met one. I haven't either but I've seen enough of them in the wild(and heard enough first hand interactions with them from people I know) to know that stereotypes are probably true.
Normalfags should have never gotten access to videogames at large, just like they should have never gotten internet via smartphones, this is all a consequence of this.

Even if he is a troon, I do have a little bit of sympathy for him. Yuji Naka is a cunt and he stole the engine so he could make NiGHTS, not the first time he screwed someone over either. Little wonder he got arrested for insider trading not too long ago, must have pissed off the wrong person and they snitched.
I never looked into Saturn all that much, I wonder if the console was even powerful enough to run a 3D Sonic game at the time. Even if it did, Sonic Adventure would have been considered the first true 3D Sonic game anyways.

I didn't even know there were attempts at furnishing Duke Nuken Forever 2001 and having it formally released. How did that one get fumbled?
Someone elaborated better than I could but I can add that the dev team that made "The First Slice" gave us a playable demo campaign and a functioning multiplayer. It's fun and plays like a Duke game, but it feels like a compromise between trannies and peace-keeping nerds not wanting to rock the boat. After the playable demo was released, the trannies got tired of the nerds suggesting to not remove "problematic content" in place of pro-sjw "humor" and they exiled essentially killing the project.

/vr/ tried to come up with their own team to finish the game but that went about as well as you'd think.

That is so sad. Duke is..Duke. How could you troon him up? Why would troons even care? Because muh lost videogame?

Modern day /vr/ is just as filled with troons as a place like TCRF, at least on the moderation side of things. Doubt it would go anywhere even if people got organized, it would probably be sabotaged like the SCP Secret Laboratory or Snoot Game threads on /v/, both of which were wrongfully deleted without breaking any rules due to mods getting triggered by these games(SCP moved over to /vm/ once that board was made, Snoot Game was exiled to /trash/, but the damage was done).
I hope somebody actually finishes DNF2001, at this point it would be better if it was a small team effort that simply finished the existing levels without adding anything new or fancy. Base game is solid enough as is.

Like I said, troons care because they want asspats for finishing le memey game themselves(which they will never do since that takes effort). Then there is the "boomer shooter" troons that claimed the retro FPS genre as their own and want to take over every single project like this like some monstrous blob, to make sure it is "up to their standards". Duke is a lost cause, I mean Jon St. Jon is a batshit crazy leftist AND the IP is held by Greasy Randy. It was never more over.

ou could say the same for New Vegas community: relatively normal for years, recently had a few troons infesting it(still mostly normal, unless you actually believe the astro turfed 4chan memes), but now all of a sudden it was always a troon game only troons play if you ask your average tourist or zoomie. I was never big into touhou but I know quite a few "normal" fans(as normal as they get, anyways) and a few right wing ones. The troons are likely an outlier or a loud minority, just like with New Vegas, making the situation much worse than it really is to an outsider. Politi-warring is normal, that's just how internet and fandoms are now, for better or worse, so of course you will get a few insulated left wing tranny/commie communities.

Minor PL, but I made some decently successful New Vegas mods back in the day, so I got to watch the "FNV community" getting progressively more pornsick and insane in real time.

When I started, people were eagerly discussing their plans to reintegrate fully-voiced cut content back into the game. When I quit, these people were just posting "memes" about the "femboy legion" and "Every FNV modder owns a PC, a GOG account, and programmer socks and HRT, teeheehee~"

Absolutely revolting. I don't understand where these things come from, and how they manage to force* their bullshit onto every online "community" that makes the mistake of letting them in.

*Because trannies are very good at forcing themselves onto things, I know.

Yeah, Naka is a fucking prick and a hack. The Geist Force story should be proof of that. For those not aware, Geist Force was a game that was one of the first Dreamcast games showcased, and it looked to be quite an impressive game. It was a Star Fox 64 style shooter which, ironically, was also worked on by Chris Senn, who worked on X-Treme. Naka and some other JP execs apparently came to check on the progress of the game, and not knowing the team knew Japanese, talked shit about how they were gonna cancel the game, shut the studio down, and take the engine/tech for other projects like Sonic. After hearing this, the devs decided to burn everything on their way out, can the game themselves, and leave Sega. Naka's an arrogant fuck, so I have no trouble believing this story is true.

Well, problem is that most of the cut content is already added back in, so now what do you do? At some point, you either just play the game or move on to something else, only ones left are psychos constantly trying to add new features like dual wielding or immersive ass scratching animations that each make the game feel less and less like Fallout, just for the sake of it. That's how we got Frontier in the first place, just one big measuring contest between degenerate modders.
So, the answer here is simple, all the normal people made the mods they wanted and now we're left with all the retards that are simply there for clout, this is a problem with modding as a whole and not just Fallout btw. But, sticking with Fallout, one example would be RoyBatty who made it his life's goal to keep re-making TTW over and over again, worse every time, since he has nothing else going for him even tho the mod was "finished" years ago. Then, when people don't like the new releases he shits his pants and intentionally makes sure to delete older version of TTW and it's mods so that most of them are lost media at this point,, to force everybody to play the newest piece of shit he released even if it breaks support with a whole lot of older mods or whatever. You know how it is with nu-modders always "updating" their mods and deleting old versions as if not immediately updating to the latest(often times broken or inferior) version of the mod is some sort of taboo, even when they unironically work better. That's the situation with TTW version 2.9.4, the last "stable" version everybody liked vs 3.3, the "current"(last I checked) version everybody has to move on to now because head troonlover in charge said so.
That said, what you described is a very small minority of both players and modders, blown out of proportion by Bethesda fans who are asshurt of New Vegas' success compared to Fallout 3/4. Bethesda side of the fanbase is unironically mostly gay/troon/pedo adjacent without a single bit of irony and of course, the same people who memed on NV don't want to talk about it, wonder why.

Yup, and even better, when he tries to direct something non-Sonic related, we get shit like Balan Wonderworld aka the game that requires a fucking novel not sold with the game to understand the story since the game has zero lines of spoken dialogue. Not to mention the game itself is kind of shit, even tho the concept is alright. Man got lucky and it's clear he never deserved the high position he got.
Then again, this is a whole another discussion, people wonder why Sega quit the console race and think it was due to Playstation or Nintendo, but truth is that the rift between Sega of America and Sega of Japan was just as big of a culprit, and these are just two isolated examples we've brought up. Never mind how the failure of Saturn in America was almost exclusively due to miscommunication between the two companies, or outright malice in some cases.

Simple, before people even went thru all the levels in the beta, clout chasing niggers and trannies started getting cozy and planning on how they would finish the game, not because that's the right thing to do but because it needs to be done "their way"(ie censorship, one of the first changes were removing Duke's "problematic" lines of dialogue) and for content down the line. That Gianni guy that does all the duke voices in popular internet media and Tyler McNigger of all people were one of the first big names on the restoration discord server.
Several years later, absolutely nothing of value came out of the project, likely never will. Good news is that the game is open source so technically anyone can finish this project, if they want. There is no need to depend on the trannies, but so far nobody else has been autistic enough to give it a try, at least that I know of.
Remember looking at that project and scoffing at the mere idea of it. I don't even know how they were ever going to finish shit when the game is so massively unfinished that there's gaping holes where the content should be. Mechanics that just outright don't fucking exist(i.e. the donkey), Levels that are so unfinished all you really have is some design ideas and at most a few test levels where they just shoved in random enemies to play around with, a basic ass multiplayer mode in its infact, weird gimmicks like email and an AI chat bot that barely works. That all people really wanted to focus on was what famous womanizer duke nukem was saying just cemented the idea of the project being a failure in my mind.

Balan wonderland was the product of Yuji Naka attempting to apply his philosophy when making Sonic the Hedgehog onto a multi billion dollar video game 30 years later. Only one button ever doing anything = the most bland and braindead video game ever made

If you handed a level to one guy each and told them "finish it", I think it could be done. Cut out all but the biggest setpieces/gimmicks and fill the rest with combat, which seems to be fleshed out. If one level designer finishes something that could work for multiple levels, add that to the others, but try and focus on just finishing the game. Of course, that would require teamwork and discipline, it's much easier to hang out on the discord and pretend you're a legendary, respected modder since you're the equivalent of HR on a long dead project. I knew this wasn't going anywhere the moment I saw McNigger trying to wriggle his way onto the project like he tried to inject himself into Frontier drama(hilariously so, if you remember that stream).
