There is a certain penultimate irony or something of people complaining about my writing and effortposts when they do so sitting in a maze that I designed: https://kiwifarms.st/threads/read-before-posting-dsp-board-information.35727/post-2711910

You're likely only here in the first place because of my effortposts :)
I can't tell if you're using penultimate wrong on purpose to "troll" or if you're actually that retarded.

OK let's settle this because reading all this misinformed nonsense has tipped me enough to post.

Phil is a retarded and autistic narcissist who is addicted to gacha. No need to overcomplicate this.

Personality disorders like OCPD are extremely rare and extremely understudied. Their existence is contested. Just because there's a Wikipedia article doesn't make them real in the world. Detailed descriptions especially are suspicious. The personality disorders that all professionals agree that definitely exist are Borderline, Narcissistic and Antisocial.

Phil may have persistent depression (aka Dysthymia), a long-term and less intense form of depression. But it's hard to tell due to his narcissism. A normal person with Phil's life would obviously be depressed. But Phil is not a normal person. Seriously, what the fuck would he be depressed about? He genuinely believes he's hot shit. His entitlement is a way of life. His self-worth is strong as fuck. Without exaggeration, he believes he has done nothing wrong ever. Therefore he has nothing to regret in his life.

From Phil's own perspective, what does his life lack? Friends? He doesn't need friends — he makes amazing company to himself. He likes himself just fine. And he gets enough kind words from his cult of dents. Sex? He's has no sex drive left because he's a low T soy boy.

Having said this, yes his whole life is a cope. Because there's one thing he doesn't get enough of: admiration. He's upset and he copes that he doesn't get the respect, the fame and the money that he thinks he deserves. All this is explained by his narcissism.

Phil begs 6 days a week because he's a terminally online attention whore, who craves the control that his streams provide for him. His existence is tied to his streams. There is no Phil Burnell outside his internet presence. 'Shell of a human' is an apt description. There's no "devotion to productivity" and other bullshit. If he had more time to himself he wouldn't know how to use it because his world is extremely small. And as it is now, he has enough time outside of his streams to devote himself to the only thing he truly cares about: his WWE Champions account.

FInally, Phil is not an alcoholic. Never was. Sure, he drinks heavily from time to time. But any kind of true addiction is impossible to hide and control. If Phil was a true alcoholic, he would not be able to control himself during his drinking streams. He would also be fatter. His one true addiction was glaringly obvious when he was playing gacha games on stream.

@neger psykolog Please shut up. Thanks.

Other people have said he does actually have a "devotion to productivity" in the way he tries to finish games and the like besides his extremely, extremely regular streaming schedule. People on here have even said stuff about how bothered he is about stupid achievements.

And if you look at WWE Champions not as a gacha game/gambling in particular it is just a system he is obsessed with "finishing" - it is masterfully designed for people just like DSP in that there is technically no ending to it until Scopely sunsets it one day. There's entire subreddits and videos filled with bullshit "strategy" and explanation of the game mechanisms/formula outside of the pay to win elements.

I do agree with you about personality disorders perhaps not existing and all of that but it does describe and match DSP very, very closely and perhaps more closely than any other methodology out there. He has a gambling addiction, he's an alcoholic and all he does is bury his head in either gameplay streams/systems or gambling basically 24/7.

Firstly there are tons of alcoholics that only drink at night time/when work is done. People can be completely functional and show no real outside proof of this. People who are extreme alcoholics can and do hide it - school teachers, lawyers and judges do it:

As to him being fatter, he drinks spirits and uses mixers that don't contain sugar. There's not very many calories in that.

In terms of him totally losing control, we have definitely seen evidence of it with the "pa" tweets post-Leanna but there have been numerous times where people have said he is possibly drunk or extremely hungover on stream. It's possible he just has better control of it nowadays but from the Kino Casino DM leaks it seems evident that he is getting pretty drunk every single night and messaging people about shit.

I agree that he is very narcissistic, but he is also very depressed, and addicted to alcohol to cope. Look at his wrinkly skin and sad face when he looks at the camera. He was way more lively and tried to have fun with people 15 years ago. Now he is dead inside, always hiding in his room, and lost most of his friends and contacts. He can't even get other streamers to like him. He's all alone and miserable.

I can't buy that Phil is miserable. There's always some coping from detractors that you know wish they could have Phil's schedule, or at least the option he has to never commute to work for an asshole boss (Phil does kowtow to Jewtube/Kick powers that be, but you know what I mean) and is given good money to do so. Phil knows this. He prides himself on this. He thinks he's better than us because of it. He relishes everyone giving him money because he's beating everyone at the game.

Beyond that, who knows. Phil is a very strange man that I enjoy trying to understand. He started out fucked up in the FGC, and his life the past decade is like... I don't know where to begin. His mind is so far gone from the rest of us.

Phil has always been a strange and alien person. Even looking at some of his old vlog videos, everyone just saw him as the walking ATM and the weird person you keep around because he has money, buys you food, and you just have to put up with his weird antics and bullshit for a few hours. John and Howard, I truly think, were the only people that tried to be friends with Phil and actually cared for him. However, they learned the hard way that Phil only sees you as an asset.

Phil is definitely a case study, for sure. There is simply no understanding the man - the only way to truly understand Phil is once Phil finally croaks in his mature adult office, a neuroscientist actually studies his brain will we understand Phil. Until that time, let's just continue to laugh at the village idiot for being the village idiot.

I sort of agree. I mean, Phil is definitely alien, but I feel like a lot of people knew a Phil, or at least a Phil-lite at one point or another. But they didn't have that deep of a look into their life because they wisely chose to keep him at a distance, because someone like Phil isn't someone you want to get close with.

Our personal Phil's also tend not to be as successful as DSP. Which is probably the biggest difference. They tend to fade away into the background and get forgotten about, but I think characters like David Brent from the original Office are based on other people's experience with Phil's.

I think the reason he feels more alien is because we tend to cut out the Phil's in our life pretty early on. The people I can think of who were largely like Phil were people from my late teen/early 20's, when my social options were more limited. To give Phil some backhanded credit, he is probably more, uhh, Philler than the average Phil. But that might be because we continue to see him, it's possible those other people also continued down the same path.

I think the big traits are, being so selfish that you naturally make yourself unlikeable, always blaming everyone/everything else for your problems and never admitting faults/having a massive, undeserved ego and ultimately being too lazy to really accomplish much of anything. That's why a lot of Phil's tend to end up in middle management positions. DSP's hermit status might be more unique, that one's a little harder for me to judge. I think a lot of the Phil's out there would live the hermit lifestyle if they could, but they aren't as lucky as Phil/the ones I knew predate a lot of remote work/delivery options.

The average loser that we forget about after high school is more like the wrestling guy, or Synthetic Man, or King Cobra, or has the traits of Asmongold. Or Lucas Werner, some troon or TCAP guy if they get caught into weird sexual thoughts. I say this as quite the hermit loser myself. Phil is a special breed that has perpetually lucked into "success" and is eternal, that even I'm like WTF? with Phil regularly.

So many of these conversations are dragged down by some barely disguised cope. Dentractors really want to pretend phil is making under min wage at a terrible job despite the fact he makes 6 figures a year playing video games/yapping about nothing in his jammies.

I dont think phil even has the depth to be miserable. He is a textbook narc, his run away ego will bend every interpretation of reality to protect him from any negative self reflection. Hes a mary sue in his own life story, at worst he probablly feels a tinge of sadness that despite being the most perfect streamer, only a small handful of people recognize that fact.

Hot take - that's why he's miserable now, objectively. He fits the pattern of an aging narcissist - they pushed too many people away and the sudden realization that they can't get their narcissistic supply as easily makes them lash out more intensely than before. Their worst traits become even worse as well. The only difference is that the aging narcissist phenomenon usually happens in a narcissist's 50s or 60s but Phil is Linda's special little boy. With piggy I think the realization came with the 40th birthday stream, it was very weird, he said some really bizarre shit, started pretending like he's on death's door and middle-aged at the same time while also saying that he's the happiest man who ever happied and that he does NAHT, in fact, have a mid-life crisis.

Then there's the whole Kino/Kang arc. He looked legitimately happy for the first time in his life in over a decade and it's because Lard and Tard as well as the Kino dents were giving him money and, more importantly, narcissistic supply. Now that the supply's been cut off again he's been rattled beyond belief and is back to his old miserable self.

Phil's hair is looking really good.
What I wouldn't give for Phil to piss off the blimp so bad she shaves a big bald patch on top of his head while he's asleep. As long as she doesn't fall going up the stairs causing an earthquake strong enough to wake Phil from a gin induced slumber the salt would be EPIC!

phil is sad and lonely because he's married to a walrus instead of ltg. he copes by drinking, begging, and gambling which is destroying his mind and body. confess your love, phil! it would sahwlve all your prahwblems, ya get it?
This all could have been solved if he had just worked on his sexy a little bit longer

He only acted that way cause he got a taste of what the corporate greed was like and wanted more of it. The Kino arc was one of the most interesting arcs we have seen in a while cause watching it was like watching a pack of dominos fall at once granted he still has dents out the wazoo donating what seems to be a fortune just to keep him afloat but still.
