It's called force multiplication. The number of troops doesn't matter. Iraq had on paper 10 times as many soldiers as what the USA used to invade them. Armies are complicated institutions. You could have a million men and they would be worse then useless if you can't get food, fuel and ammo to them, can't communicate effectively with them or provide them meaningful strategic support when they end up engaged with the enemy.

none of those were dogfights, they’re BVR missile jousts, and I’m pretty sure it was an Su-35 being shot down and not the other way round judging by the Su-35 wreckage I have images of, but true dogfights are totally dead

The F-16 went down last month. The Su-35 went down more recently. I suppose you just mean dogfight as in close-range maneuvering and gunning and shit. Yes that is almost certainly dead. But air-to-air launches and evasions are definitely still a thing.

Yeah Israel's really hurting with the few boomers who have died. I think every single person I've seen identified as a death casualty in Israel has been a civilian in their 60s or 70s. Really hitting them where it hurts!
