We'll have to see as time goes on. If Vance is doing any of these things, I doubt we'll hear about it until after the administration. I think you have a lot of good points.
If Trump is smart, he will take Vance aside (f not already) and let him know this is his chance to take charge and show why he would be good president material in 2028 if he truly wants to assume the presidency after Trump's term ends.
Harris was criticized as Biden's do-nothing VP. This is Vance's opportunity to show he is willing to help the party and country during Trump's current term by being an assertive hands on VP.
Fuckkk. How do you tell who's real and fake?
Be vigilant and trust your instincts - especially if you get the feeling something isn't right.
I'm not sure if it's still good advice, but I was once told if a cop car tries pulling you over and something seems suspicious about the car or its driver, you should slow down with your 4-ways on and call 911 to verify that the stop is genuine while informing the operator about slowing down etc. to make it clear there is no intent to flee or elude. I've also hear pulling off into a busy parking lot such as a gas station or mall can be a good idea. Again, no idea if this is still useful or valid, but something to think about should the situation ever arise.
but the real science is that it makes it easier to hide how lefty these people usually are, like even Dylan Roof's manifesto didn't really say anything that is different from what the left preaches about blacks and whites, he just found a different solution.
The left is quick to memory hole anything that puts them or their supporters in a bad light. During Trump's first term, a local school and its city's residents were portrayed as a hugbox of white supremacists by local media when racist graffiti was found in a middle school. The media abruptly stopped reporting anything once it was discovered the culprit was a black student behind the anti-black graffiti.
Similarly, there was social media buzz a few years back about violence and harassment targeting people with Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) backgrounds. Once it was discovered black people were the number one culprit behind the harassment and violence, any mention of AAPI people and the harassment they experienced disappeared almost instantly as if someone flipped a switch.
If this suspect/person of interest has any left-leaning ties, expect those with the power to make it as difficult as possible to go digging into his background. As others already stated, Internet Archive is notorious for this and previously delisted several KF pages and archives.
I'm not convinced that the christian thing makes him a republican. there are a lot of christian democrats. most greek orthodox, a lot of catholics desite the abortion thing.
Especially those in Blue area. The Catholic diocese here almost always fellates the Democrats and their platform every election day because the main city is dark blue. The only recent exception was when the abortion proposal was on the ballot; the diocese simply stayed silent that year apart from, "Vote no on Proposal
X because abortion bad."
What fucking retard. No it was done as way to get around the law. Which Republicans need to repeal yesterday.
It reminds me of similar renaming efforts to avoid people perceived as racist or problematic. Surprisingly, the local newspaper, in an op-ed, advocated something similar to what Trump did: Find someone with the same last name who made contributions to society and is seen as more worthy of recognition and socially accepted. That makes too much sense and it prevents the activists from having something to be upset about, so it probably won't happen as much as it should.
It was such a mix of different flags and slogans that it's hard to tell what it was supposed to be about.
It could be equal parts of: (1) Organizers encouraging support for any cause célebrè as part of the protest, or (2) Protesters simply choosing to do whatever they wanted under the guise of the
No Kings! protest. We already know most of these protesters are so rabidly devoted to the cause they will do whatever they want much to the organizers' chagrin.
I do agree this detracts from the original intent and makes these protests look no different than any other protest.
I spent all day touching grass.
I also had the chance to touch grass and had a fun afternoon devoid of anything political. Upon coming home, a few headlines I saw from my region of Kiwi Land showed pictures attempting to make turnouts look bigger than what they likely were in reality. If the numbers truly were what was claimed for the protest closest to me, traffic around here would have been more of mess than it is on a typical day and that wasn't my experience. Maybe it would be different if there were fewer protest spots; the radio reported enough locations in surrounding cities that the cadre of full-time protestors would be stretched thin to cover them all with any sort of significant-looking turnout.
Edited for spelling and clarity.
