You can't really understand the politics of millennials until you understand that we were raised by television as latch-key kids with no one to talk us out of how stupid fuctional stories could be while we were watching them.
Millennials, the children of Gen X, raised like that? Alexa play "Cat's In The Cradle" by Harry Chapin.
Would people even care if Trump called Newsom a nigger?
tsk. That would be so wrong. Newsom is obviously a lizard.

ATTENTION ANY CAPTAIN PLANET FOLKS!
Take 25 minutes out of your busy day and watch an episode of a little series called The Raccoons, episode titled The One That Got Away.
It wasn't usually an environmentalist type of show, but there was one episode that is THE best at showing what's what, and it doesn't get enough credit by far.

like what, nigger?
Help add prescription drug coverage to Medicare, making it more affordable to most people, aiming to provide older people with better access to medications. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Tried to solve the debt issues by making changes to Social Security

All that is overshadowed by Iraq

the debt issues were overshadowed by the massive economic bubble that popped in the US you nigger. the prescription drug coverage for medicare part b fucking sucked, and everyone involved in it still complains that prescriptions were easier in the 90s. PEPFAR is help for a bunch of niggers who can't stop raping each other to be able to keep raping. how is that good exactly? what did he do for the average fucking american, my man? goddamn jack shit, other than sign the patriot act, which if you really want to play this game, is a far worse thing than ALL the good shit he might have tried to do put together, by a significant margin.

i'm sorry i'm not weeping over the tattered reputation of a warhawk, and i definitely don't agree with you that this vague statement by trump is equivalent to the fucking iraq war. what kind of absolute mongoloid do you have to be to think that? how many legless soldiers are being created by trump's tweets? how many trillions of dollars have we wasted because of a bullshit nationbuilding exercise he's sent us on? oh, NONE?

kill yourself, you worthless oxygen thief.

Late I know, but much of that parade was embarrassing. I've seen better organisation and drill from cadets, let alone a major anniversary parade for the worlds supposedly greatest army. It's a real shame, but unfortunately not a real surprise. Coping about "bad armies have good drill, we spend time training combat not parades" is just that, extreme levels of cope. I think overly flashy drill is indeed dumb (like the retarded Indian ones), but well synchronised simple parade drill is very impressive and should not take an excessive amount of time to achieve. This was sloppy and unprofessional, I know if I was marching in front of live cameras in a major anniversary parade I'd be doing the very best I could.

I can't comprehend the mass stupidity that has inflicted our country. Im not even talking about people leaning left, all my moderate left friends voted trump because they've been pushed out of the party by purity tests. I'm just perplexed that a huge mass of people have let fear mongering and virtue signaling completely control their minds.

Wait you don't think if we get into any type of war in the Middle East it won't hurt his legacy? are you a retard? His whole thing was no more wars, that is, unless Israel needs us for Gulf War 3.0. Trump himself has a patriot act of his own called Palantir and was signed in by his "big beautiful bill" thanks to DOGE and elon for being trojan horses. If we don't get dragged into being Israel's golem, this will be his legacy alone.

Any good that Trump does will be overshadowed by him getting us into any type of war. We are already deep into the conflict on both sides. We were supposed to be out of the Middle East and even Europe but instead continued there after what, 25 years? And we are supposed to have a war with China soon, with everything stretched thin? "Trust the plan" bros when you say anything bad about Trump Cohen

No combat-ready unit has ever passed inspection. No inspection-ready unit has ever passed combat. Tangentially related, I know, but it somewhat fits here.

Can't have the American heroes hating on non-whites can we? Can't have them not bursting into rage at the thought of a proud White nation with a backbone can we? It surprises me how many people don't even have a clue about the thoughts/feelings/views of people back then. Like why would Americans hate Hitler or the Germans when it was the Japanese that bombed pearl harbor, and invade our over seas passions?
Well the American public didn’t exactly love Hitler or anything. Even before WW2 began the media wasn’t exactly portraying the Nazis in a good light and the U.S.’s allyship with Britain all but guaranteed that the U.S. would be on the side of the allies even if no troops were actually committed. Even if public opinion was sympathetic to the Allies many Americans were still weary of sending troops to participate considering the brutality of WW1 was still fresh in everyone’s memory.

One of my favorite anecdotes of this time period is that much of the movement opposing American involvement in WW2 was inspired by popular anti-war novels like “Johnny Got His Gun” by Dalton Trumbo. Trumbo was a communist and his novel was intended to oppose involvement in WW2 (because at that time, the Nazis were technically allies of the Soviet Union), but as soon as Hitler broke the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact and invaded the Soviet Union (a plot twist anyone with a functioning brain would have seen coming) Tumbo changed his tune and started having his own novel pulled from store shelves since suddenly war wasn’t so bad I guess.

Weren't most boomers children during the Civil Rights movement? I don't understand why they're so obsessed with it, it's not like they had an active hand in it or anything.
Boomers were mostly teenagers or college-age adults when the civil rights movement kicked off. It’s why they have been trying to replicate the movement for decades since it makes them feel like the one time in their life where they feel like they accomplished anything.
