The ruling makes no sense. Henry Ford was literally the majority shareholder. Its literally saying "he can't do what he wants, because he has a duty to do what he wants." Literally saying neither the owner/major shareholder has any say in their own company!

The average construction worker back in 1975 made about 12 grand a year. Adjusting for inflation that translates to about 75 grand. Of course no construction worker actually makes that now. Do you honestly think that the change in salaries is solely because of an increased tax burden?

“Dying for Israel” is the dissident right’s Handmaid’s Tale. The war with Iran people are essentially an apocalyptic cult insisting that the end times are coming NOW and when it fails to materialize they dismiss it or move the goalposts.

I agree with the sentiment. If you employ illegals then you should get deported with them. But in this instance if I'm remembering correctly, (rate me dumb if I'm thinking of some other raid), the owner talked with ICE and explained that he had no idea that they were illegal. He used E-verify for his employees pre employment check, and said that it didn't flag any of them. E-verify is a government service to perform minimum requirement background checks to confirm employment status.

Now this guy might be lying out of his ass to ICE, which would be very stupid but that's possible. However if he's telling the truth then I'm more worried about the E-verify system either being compromised or that it is really really easy to get documents that can fool E-verify making it completely worthless.

This is what it checks:
The employee record is checked against DHS and Socials Security records. That's it. That's all. It was also launched in 1996. It's fucking old.

He never said it was solely responsible. He never implied there couldn't be other factors. Of course its not just tax burden. He even said, correctly, that welfare programs have had an influence, immediately after. How do you even get "solely because of" from that?

We are? Israel is doing this entire operation by itself with no other countries getting involved other than refueling support and intercepting rockets. We just killed the top generals, destroyed most of the missile launchers, tanked like 30 ballistic missiles with minimal losses, and are currently bombing nuclear plants. It's day 3 and Israel has air superiority over a country that is 1000 miles away.

If the rumors I've heard of Israel having the GBU 57 are true, we don't even need the US to bomb the deepest nuclear plants.
