while i was making these, shift went on a kino rant about the state of his online peers.
the gist of it is, he feels like a good portion of the new current runners of the game only picked it up in an attempt to usurp his audience because they think they can be a more positive version of himself. however said runners dont understand the immense stress it puts anyone under to play this game at the level and dedication he does,
he feels offended that people would go to such great lengths to spite him, but isn't worried about his actual audience being taken away from him as his fanbase is one he spend 9 years building up and its naive to think you can steal his thunder without going through what he did to achieve it and thus becoming like him.
he wishes people in the spongebob speedrunning community would be more apperceptive of him and his work, considering the previous world record holder had a average stream of around 15 people, now anyone can gain a semi sizable audience playing the game because of all the work he did popularizing it

Shift really wants to have it every which way. He’s always saying things like “If you don’t like the way I run my stream then fuck off, I’m not here to entertain you, I don’t do this for clout it’s for self-improvement.” Then when his viewers leave to watch someone entertaining all the sudden he’s pressed about it.
