2025 Israel vs Iran War

Fordow is under 250-300 feet of solid rock plus however much steel-reinforced concrete they used building it. idk how many GBU-27s, -28s, -72s, BLU-109s etc. it would take to blast through that but it'd have to be many dozens. Maybe more. Even a GBU-57 idk I don't think it would be a drop 2-3 and call it a day thing
I'm sure there is a youtube video somewhere but I remember there being a show on the military channel that went over bunkerbusters. I know some of them are designed to not explode until they penetrate concrete and hit a void or go a certain distance after hitting the ground, I forget the specifics but it could take one to bust it open for smaller bombs. 250-300ft does seem a bit far for one bomb but it's been so long I only remember they're meant to penetrate the ground without exploding for a long time.

You just stack the bombs to make the hole deeper. That's how Israel killed nasrallah in his bunker

BREAKING: Trump wants "a real end" to the nuclear problem with Iran and this morning will find him in the White House Situation Room, monitoring developments in Middle East, he told us during his midnight departure from Canada.

"I didn't say I was looking for a ceasefire," he said on AF1. He said he wants "a real end," with Iran "giving up entirely" on nukes.

The Israelis aren't slowing up their barrage on Iran, he predicted. "You're going to find out over the next two days. You're going to find out. Nobody's slowed up so far."

Asked his thinking on calling for Tehran to evacuate, he told me he wants "people to be safe."

He needs to be present at the White House, not Canada, where he can be "well versed" and not have to rely on phones to know what's happening, he said.

Trump sounded undecided about sending Witkoff and/or VP Vance to meet with Iran. "I may," he said. But "it depends what happens when I get back," he said.

On any threat to US interests, he said Iran knows not to touch our troops. US would "come down so hard if they do anything to our people," he said.

Trump declined to say if the chairman of joint chiefs and SecDef have provided him with planning options should Iran attack U.S. bases in Middle East. "I can't tell you that," he told me.

Trump told me "we'll be talking to them" when asked if the Gang of Eight was briefed on anything yet. But "it's not necessary," he said.

Asked if US involvement would destroy Iran nuclear program, hope their program "is wiped out long before that."

I am now convinced they’re going to MOP up fordow

Schrodinger's leader of the world. Has influence over all countries and none at the same time, at least until he's observed through social media posts.

Speaking to reporters just hours before the announcement of his abrupt departure, President Trump signaled that he was feeling some pressure to be more engaged in the brewing Middle East crisis. “They want to make a deal, and as soon as I leave here, we’re going to be doing something,” he said. “But I have to leave here.”

When asked if he would consider traveling to the Middle East if he thought it would help broker a deal, Trump said he believed that talks were going well. “We’re talking,” he said. “We have a thing called the telephone, so we’re talking. It’s always better to talk in person.”
Earlier today Trump was making statements which Macron was echoing, which now Trump is denouncing.

In the morning it seemed Trump had been against the idea of signing on to a statement asking for de-escalation between Iran-Israel, but eventually (according to the White House) they did get Trump's blessing on a joint statement to the same effect.

Hard to tell what Trump's goal is if he's going to be backing out of his own positions every few hours.

Edit: Another breaking news thingy.

So sounds a bit like he's trying to avoid tying the idea of an end to the conflict coming with a ceasefire.

Edit2: Just noticed this was already posted by someone after I had finished messing with this. Blah. Kill me.

So a real end is either destroying everything, a regime change and probably still destroying everything, or what? He can't think a normal deal is a "real end" after what happened after the last deal. I don't see many options here that include a permanent outcome.

Iran is "very close" to a nuclear weapon, he said. "I don't care what she said I think they were very close to having them," Trump told us on AF1 when asked about Tulsi Gabbard testimony in March.

I asked him about efforts to help Americans leave the region, with commercial airspace closed, and he said admin "working on that. We're doing the best we can."

"I haven't seen it," he told me when I asked if any signs North Korea or Russia more involved in aiding Iran.

I asked him about his strategy for Senate confirmations, given only 3 of 6 defense undersecretaries confirmed so far. He said Thune is doing a very good job, but Dems "hold up our nominations." He'd like the process to go faster, he said.

Scott Bessent and a couple others stayed behind to meet with G7 leaders, he told me. (Rubio is on AF1 with us.)

But he did all he needed at the gathering, he said.

He said he hadn't seen the G7 statement yet but he "authorized them go say certain things." Carney did a good job hosting, he said

There's your explanation

You can spot a low IQ when someone reflexively asserts that every military action taken must be exactly like the Iraq War.

The inability to see nuance and parse out realistic possibilities, which do not include the U.S. invading Iran, is a surefire sign of low intelligence

I am certain US will find WMD, just as they did in Iraq. Then Iran will be a new democracy.
