UK British News Megathread - aka CWCissey's news thread

https://news.sky.com/story/row-over-new-greggs-vegan-sausage-rolls-heats-up-11597679

A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

The issue of Asians in the UK can actually be solved, perhaps not in five years but definitely within a decade.

I agree, and I like your suggestions (especially them all getting cholera!). But yeah, it comes down to making a start. And that start is to stop being welcoming and instead become actively hostile to them and their faith. I saw a report that 1 million Mexicans have gone home already since Trump came in just because of the atmosphere. That is the part that will never be in the deportation stats.

And once you get it more manageable, you can work out the rest.

Came across this quote by Enoch Powell: "Too often today people are ready to tell us: ‘This is not possible, that is not possible.’ I say:whatever the true interest of our country calls for is always possible.”

And it doesn't just start with the government. People are going to get more pissed off. They need to start talking to each other and refusing to do business with BAMEs or people that employ them wherever possible. And start talking to each other about it and telling the business owner why they don't get one's business anymore.

Employing BAMES should be a massive disadvantage for any business, and the laws of the land should be hostile to their faith and culture, like you said. We make headway so quickly. Which is why I think we should not get too blackpilled.

Oswald Mosley: It's all there, it's all waiting. Of course it can be done; it depends upon ourselves....We've got other forces against us - not those particular forces, but the power of money, the power of press. All those things are against us. And how can you stop it? My friends, by an act of will, an act of the European will.

Could be more fun. Taking back a country than slaving for Jewish finance capitalism

She’s even gone on before about her own mother was sexually abused by a paki, so she murdered him and is in prison (if anyone want a refresh Link) gone about that she was forced into child marriage. Yet. woo lets defend the pakis! She must be the biggest fucking inbred idiot.
They are her people, right or wrong. It's a basic expression of ethnic sectarianism and what we should expect going forward.

No new benefits for five years - a tough call but we have to save the UK long term.
Why is this a tough call? This is standard in a lot of countries. You come here, you work, you contribute because we have skills that are needed. You don't need benefits to come here and work as a qualified, legitimate Dr.

@Zoot doesn't really need me to speak for him but I have this clip handy. He said his politics were in the fashion of Moseley in wanting the best for everybody but separately. So here's Mosely on the subject of exploitative foreign labour. He was against it and wanted onshore manufacturing and industry instead. He viewed exporting manufacturing as bad for the target countries and as uneven competition to British industry. He viewed it as a way for bankers to undermine nation's sovereignty by pitting them against each other. Mosely was a Hell of a speaker and not what a lot of people would expect.

Cheers for that bang on. I was actually reading his ten points earlier cos the discussion made me wonder what his position was. . Really impressed by it. Was in particular impressed by when he addressed what you have quoted above from him.

EDIT: re his speeches. My chudness has been coming out strong. I listen to his speech, Never Give Up, on my morning walk sometimes. It really does give me hope. Makes you realise how important charisma is and will be in taking back a country. Nige is our next step but we will need something more eventually.

More accurately, it's Frankishness. Prior to the Normans, the British isles were still germanic, with a heavily celtic substrate and a strong nordic influence. Men and women both could own and manage property, and were recognised for their individual strengths, rather than one being "morally superior" to the other. The French overturned all of that, instituting continental-style serfdom and reducing women (and most men) to little more than chattel. It's this French influence that has crafted the narrative of the woman as inferior in every respect to the man.
See in its native France there's a natural balance to this, in that the women cheat on their men at the drop of a hat.

I’ve seen things like that before Sikhs going off on the Muslims. Honestly it’s quite entertaining. Some of the biggest “racist” arguments I’ve seen.
Another one to watch for, and which I also feel sympathy for, is actual African immigrants to the United States talking about "African Americans." And I don't blame them! Anyone remember when African American students at Cornell University tried to block African students from qualifying for grants on the grounds that, I shit you not, Africans hadn't known the hardships that African Americans growing up in the USA had. I laughed my arse off at that one. Those coddled students from Niger and Uganda had never known the troubles of a Black person growing up in New York State! :D :D

This is why whilst I too see the problems in Britain I don't go in for wholesale racism. I've known too many decent people of (almost) any race. I've had Nigerian friends who are devout Christians, family orientated and frankly I have more in common with them than I do with most Middle Class White people who vote LibDem or virtue signal about troons. A Nigerian dude I've spent just one hour hanging out with and shooting the breeze will stand there right beside me if shit kicks off whilst a White Progressive colleague will be actively trying to stop me from standing up for myself by fucking grabbing my arm or babbling apologies for something somebody else did.

I don't want a decent person to pay for the colour of their skin. And by the same token I'll hang someone who molests young kids whether their an entire grooming gang or a one-man molestation machine like Cyril Smith. (Admittedly, would need a strong tree to hang Cyril Smith from). The biggest issue for me has been institutional protection. I hold utter contempt for the groomers but if possible I almost hold more for those in government which shielded them.

We need to keep pressing on this so that the inquiry isn't prevented from investigating national issues. This can't be another Chilcott Inquiry or worse.

And as I’ve said before many paki women do actually hate their own men. Was really surprised a couple of them ranting off themselves.
No surprise to me. Growing up I knew more than a few young Pakistani women and girls who suffered at the hands of their relatives - both fathers and their mothers. Some for daring to hang around with me.

The difference is that they fear police in the US, also, the average politician in the UK fears the lunatic with a knife more than their own constituents.

I do believe they have it on them to turn things around but they gotta want to.

We'll get our own in. I was looking into at a lot of the groups further to the right of reform are encouraging their members to join reform. kinda like the old fabien method turned back i guess.

Going back to economics. Have you ever read Ezra Pound on economics and money? I haven't for quite a few years but was very impressed when I did. If the industry were revitalised and organised with a non-usurious money system, I could truly envision a scenario where people would only need to work 15-20 hours a week to have everything they needed and live flourishing lives in a beautiful, clean Britain once more.

One Pound breaks down the actual harm the current usury finance system does; how much is stolen from people without ever realising it. it makes one, or it did, realise that I think it has to be some kind of chauvinistic third way, i.e., not communism or liberal capitalism.

I think that is why it is the one that is hated the most.

Nige is our next step but we will need something more eventually.
I don't think it's likely - just wishful thinking by some. But if Rupert Lowe joined the Conservatives and obtained a high position, would you support them or stick to Reform?

it is inevitable. It;s one more reason why white people need to act whilst they are still a good majority.
It's coming to the point people are asking this question: What happens when you're the only people without an in-group preference?

In-group preferences are a little like nuclear weapons. Great if everyone disarmed but it increasingly looks like only one side did.

Going back to economics. Have you ever read Ezra Pound on economics and money?
He wrote on economics? I honestly had no idea and knew him only from some little of his poetry I read. Thanks for the suggestion - I will check it out. Anything in particular I should read? Searching is turning up more articles about his views than his actual writing.

1) Halal slaughter is banned - this would lead to some Pakistani's leaving.
Fewer than I think you think. Contrary to what might be thought by some, I suspect the muslims who comprise the rape gangs are also the most likely to turn a blind eye to meat not being Halal. Plenty if not most of those gangs were more than happy to use drugs and drink as well. Islam is more of club for them than a rigorous religious doctrine. I doubt this one would have the impact you hope. Though the practice should still be banned on the basis of animal welfare.

He kinda does because the point he was making is directly counter to the point Mosley is making in that clip. Thanks for that by the way, it's enlightening.
I read back up the thread. I don't think he's in opposition to that clip - it seemed to me he was saying similar stuff. But glad you liked the clip. Anyway, I'll bow out of this particular exchange and just let my views be known by stickers. :)

In the same vein, here's Mosley's view on "sweated labour" and wanting "what's best for everybody". I'll keep the questions intact but only include the relevant portions. This is from his book: Fascism: 100 Questions Asked and Answered
97. Will the Jews then be persecuted or ill-treated ?
It is untrue to suggest that Jews will be persecuted under Fascism in Britain. Bullying or
persecution of any kind is foreign to the British character. We shall not keep Jews here to bully
them. Those who have been guilty of anti-British conduct will be deported. Those against whom
no such charge rests will be treated as foreigners, but in accordance with the traditional British
treatment of foreigners within these shores, will not be ill-treated or molested. On the other hand,
foreigners who have not proved themselves worthy citizens of Britain will be deported.
96. Is not this hard on the minority of Jews who put " Britain First "?
Minorities always suffer from the faults of the majority. Races, as a whole, suffer from the
mistakes of the majority of the race when a mistaken policy is pursued. Such Jews would
certainly not be molested, let alone persecuted.
But they can no more complain of suffering from
the errors of Jewry as a whole, than members of any other nation can complain of suffering for
the mistakes of the majority and the blunders of its Government.
95. What is the Fascist attitude towards the Jews ?
Jews must put the interests of Britain before those of Jewry, or be deported from Britain. This is
not a principle of racial or religious persecution. Any well-governed nation must insist that its
citizens owe allegiance to the nation, and not to co-racialists and co-religionists resident outside
its borders or organised as a state within the State. The Jews, as a whole, have chosen to organise
themselves as a nation within the Nation and to set their interests before those of Great Britain.
They must, like everyone else, put "Britain First" or leave Britain.
93. Do you believe in the racial theories of the German Nazi Movement ?
They are German and we are English, therefore our views and our methods on many subjects
will be different. In this particular we possess a great Empire comprising many different races.
They possess no such Empire, and their aim is a revived German race, geographically united. We
believe profoundly in our own British race which has created the Empire, but we know also it
would be bad for the Empire to stigmatise by law other races within it as inferior or outcast. We
have created that Empire without race mixture or pollution, by reason of the British social sense
and pride of race
. That is an achievement unique in history, and we can trust the British genius in
this respect in the future as in the past. It should not be necessary to secure British racial purity
by act of law. It should only be necessary by education and propaganda to teach the British what
racial mixtures are bad. If a Briton understands that some action is bad for his race he will not do
it. With the British this is a matter for the teacher rather than the legislator, but if legislation was
ever necessary to preserve the race, Fascism would not hesitate to introduce it.
86. Is it your intention to attempt the education of the Indian masses ? If so, how could you
prevent their becoming as discontented as the ex-university babu ? If not, how will you
eradicate the evils and oppressions inherent in the Hindu religion ?
We will certainly attempt the education of the Indian masses, but not on Western lines. The
mistake has been the imposition of western culture on oriental life. Indians should be taught a
higher ambition than to be a pale imitation of the West. The best minds of India will be only too
willing to co-operate in that conception. It is a tragedy that Indians with an older cultural
tradition than our own should merely seek to imitate our failures, such as Parliamentary
institutions. Discontent arises from this inefficient imitation fostered by Western
Parliamentarians and academic ideologues. Fascist teaches pride of race and racial culture. Under
Fascism, Indian leaders will arise to carry forward their own traditions and culture within the
framework of Empire and the modern world of science.
84. What reforms would you substitute for the India Bill?
...(3) Factory legislation to abolish the vile industrial conditions in India which are a disgrace to
British civilisation.

(4) A strong and advanced economic policy—irrigation, co-operative farming and marketing; the
establishment of agricultural banks to break the grip of the money-lender on the Peasant.

...(6) In general, we should cease to argue with lawyers and would enlist the services of genuine
Indian patriots in the wide scope of a Corporate system designed to raise the condition of the
Indian masses in a great new economic drive. Economic action is the surest antidote to political
disorder. Thus, in strength of Government, we go further than Conservative Diehards, but we
couple with strong government an economic policy far in advance of the concepts of any present
Party.
72. Would you raise the school-leaving age ?
...For all, full mental and physical development must be available
until real maturity enables them to enter industry without handicap. Sweated child labour
replacing adult labour is one of the disgraces of the present civilisation.
In the properly organised
Nation the child will receive full mental and physical training as a citizen, until he can take his
place in industry without harm to himself or his elders.
42. If you are going to exclude foreign imports, will you not damage British export trade ?
...It would be abetter market because only British goods, produced under a regulated wage system, would
compete for that market. In foreign markets, such as the Argentine, our exports have to compete
with Oriental goods, produced by cheap, sweated labour, paid often one-quarter of the wages
now paid in Britain. Therefore we not only deny that the exclusion of imports would materially
affect our export trade at all. We go further and state that even if this was a fact our exports
would secure in exchange for foreign markets a better and more stable market at home.
39. Your system depends on increased wages to absorb the full production of modern
industry in increased demand. How will you increase wages ?
At the same time, as explained elsewhere, wage-cutting competition from abroad will be eliminated (1) by the exclusion of
foreign production for the Home Market; (2) by the provision of a Home and Empire market to
replace the foreign markets where our industries have to struggle against coolie competition,
which drags down the British standard of life.

would you support them or stick to Reform?
That would be the only way to get me to flip to tory i think and it might be enough. EDIT: I don't know if it would be enough. I do like rupert but I fucking hate the traitorous tories.

It's coming to the point people are asking this question: What happens when you're the only people without an in-group preference?

In-group preferences are a little like nuclear weapons. Great if everyone disarmed but it increasingly looks like only one side did.
In a nutshell.

He wrote on economics?
Honestly, Pound is one of the most fascinating characters of the 20th centruy and one of the most slandered and wronged.

I would start here for an overview of what he thought, which quotes a lot from him on how money and economic and freedom are intertwined.

After that there are his essays on money and economics. Good thing is that his writing style, as expected, is really good, so they are enjoyable reads on their own.

The two essays that influenced me the most were:
-ABC of economics linked here in 5 part
-"What is Money For?".

You can find more of his economic essays here. The web page has a full list but not all were published by them online at that point, but I think they all are and can be found using their search function.

The guy who runs the site highly recommends Gold & Work but I haven't read it. It's one of his later works.

Honestly, Ezra Pound is a fascinating guy.

It may have to be overarching, i.e. no benefits even for people who currently get them or less money because we have to save the country from ruin.

However, if we can encourage more people on benefits into work (even working in the community cutting grass verges or tending to the flowers etc.) then that's an advantage.

He kinda does because the point he was making is directly counter to the point Mosley is making in that clip. Thanks for that by the way, it's enlightening.
I'm not sure I am making the opposite point. It's more I didn't want to get into me having to decide for Chinese people stuff. But either way, Mosley does a much better job than me, so I'm willing to defer to him anyway.

I don't care if everyone else dies in a big pit fire if I'm being totally honest. I used to, I've long since stopped. Every single non white could drop dead tomorrow and my main concern would be sanitation. If they want to feed their kids to a meat grinder and sell me the rare earths that drop, they can go ahead.

I don't think we should be buying from them, but then again I don't think anyone not from Europe should be allowed access to basic technology. Looking back, it seems to be that letting the world access the amazing things Europeans have invented and popularised was a mistake of the same scale that tossing a lit match onto a powder magazine would be.

EDIT: Mosley and the fascists were out of touch, because they saw these people as dumb, but ultimately exploited. When in reality, what they are, is vermin.

Mosley's view
The more I read of Mosley, the more I like him. The main thing I disagree with is the Empire. I'd rather not have so much to deal with the white man's burden anymore. In fact, see the quote below:

Looking back, it seems to be that letting the world access the amazing things Europeans have invented and popularised was a mistake of the same scale that tossing a lit match onto a powder magazine would be.
I agree with this. Two great mistakes were what you just said and importing browns for cheap labour.

It may have to be overarching, i.e. no benefits even for people who currently get them or less money because we have to save the country from ruin.

However, if we can encourage more people on benefits into work (even working in the community cutting grass verges or tending to the flowers etc.) then that's an advantage.
If we tackled the issue of generational worklessness we would have absolutely no need to rely on importing cheap labour from foreign shitholes.
