White liberals who think telling your child "no" is abusive are passing around and cheering a photo from a protest that says "You weren't raised by the chancla and it shows."

The fetishization of foreign cultures is off the charts. It's unreal what they'd have said if a white person showed up saying "Some of you didn't get the belt as a kid and it shows." They'd be asked to leave and possibly mobbed.

this attitude used to be somewhat common in colonial societies where people saw first hand not only the superiority of the white way of doing things, but also how their own lives improved under white colonial rule compared to the barbaric despotism they had before. this used to be the 'brown white supremacist' position, it was most common among members of formerly downtrodden classes and castes who benefited massively when the white man did things like force their masters to give up slavery

It's very strange that telling your children "no, you can't scream and shout about a candy bar in the check-out aisle, no video games for a few days" is alien to some parents but they will celebrate beating children with an open-toed shoe.

The biggest mistakes the US has ever made was trying to occupy and rebuild middle eastern governments. The Locals never adopt the changes. The only effective way to deal with the middle east is to bomb into oblivion and walk away. It worked with Iraq, and it worked with Khaddaffi.

Of course killing off Khaddaffi was a huge mistake ,dictator or not... Because that nasty dictator was holding off even worse savages. Sometimes you have an asshole for a leader because no other type of leader can exist.
