Society is built upon the idea of decorum, that even if you can't legally make something into a defended space, there should be some ethical and moral boundaries. Otherwise, what exactly is there to stop us from defecating on the grass like dogs? And wow Ellen. I never considered that. Surely a sexually perverse man would never enter a private area strictly meant for true and honest women and decide not to drop trou on account of the women not immediately presenting their bare ass to him. So following that logic, being naked is an invitation for sexual assault, right? Glad you cleared that up for us.
The problem with the trans movement as it currently exists is that it decided there is no such a thing as a boundary. No line it won't cross in the name of, "you had better accept me doing exactly anything I want, no matter how disgusting, immoral or even just impolite or I will bring the full power of either the mob or the law down on you".
People ask what the big deal is exactly obsessing over trans women in bathrooms. It's a boundary thing. Trans women claim the right to boundaries away from men for fear of vulnerability from them, but women are not allowed to claim the same boundary, and trans women will tell them with a straight face they aren't entitled to it.
If you march into a women's space and tell women they're not allowed to have a problem with it, it does inspire a bit of fear, no? But I've long said that being trans exists primarily upon being able to hold all your delusions together.
Frankly, I never want to hear the idea that bathrooms-as-boundary should be mocked ever again. If you really believe in women's rights, you also believe in women's boundaries, and these assholes proved that if they're going to be sensitive about anytime they're being clocked as not-women, then perhaps under no circumstance, even bathrooms, should we regard them as women and let them sort out their issues for themselves.
